  • Publication number: 20030137963
Abstract: In a broadcasting receiver, to quickly switch channels of the received multiplexed broadcasting signals at a high response speed to improve the convenience for a viewer, when broadcasting signals of a plurality of channels are to be code-division-multiplexed and broadcasted from a ground broadcasting station (BC1, BC2) to a broadcasting receiver (MS) in a service area via a geostationary satellite (SAT), the broadcasting signals are multiplexed and transmitted after matching the spreading code phase between the channels in the ground broadcasting station (BC1, BC2). Alternatively, the spreading code phase difference between the channels of a CDM broadcasting signal arriving from the ground broadcasting station (BC1, BC2) is detected in the geostationary satellite (SAT), and the broadcasting signal is transmitted to the broadcasting receiver (MS) after matching the spreading code phase between the channels on the basis of the detection result.

  • Patent number: 6501938
Abstract: In a broadcasting satellite, signals transmitted through an up transmission line of a Ka band, which includes a plurality of communication channels, are received by a Ka-band antenna. The signals received by the antenna are passed through band-pass filters to thereby extract a broadcasting signal transmitted through each communication channel. Those of the thus-extracted broadcasting signals, which have been transmitted through predetermined communication channels, are synthesized by each of synthesizers, then amplified by a corresponding one of high power amplifiers, and output to a corresponding one of a plurality of primary radiators employed in an S-band antenna. The S-band antenna transmits each synthesized signal to a predetermined area that corresponds to a corresponding primary radiator. Thus, the system can be made to a simple structure, and the service area can be changed for each broadcasting signal.

  • Publication number: 20020192362
Abstract: In the manufacturing process of a screen (6), for use in a color display tube (1), a photosensitive process step, referred to as the exposure process, is used for applying the black matrix pattern and the phosphor layers to the display window (3) to form the screen (6). The robustness of this exposure process is dependent on, amongst others, the shape of the microscopic light distribution on the display window (3). It appears that in color display tubes (1) with an increased deflection angle, or in tubes with a real flat outer surface, the exposure process becomes more and more critical. According to the invention, this problem can be overcome by adding a bleaching dye to the photosensitive material used for the exposure process. This bleaching dye's action in the center of the microscopic light distribution is stronger than in the peripheral portions.

  • Patent number: 6412097
Abstract: A layout compaction method adapted to be embodied in computer program product and adapted for compacting a circuit layout having a plurality of layers on which moving objects form layer patterns, wherein the moving objects comprising components and wires. The method assumes a graph problem under condition which prevent the compacted result from violation of the design rule, and then, solves the graph problem to determine a moving order, a moving direction, and a moving distance of each component for moving the components to thereby perform the compacting the circuit layout. After that, the method moves each component according to the moving order, the moving direction and the moving distance to obtain a compacted circuit layout.

  • Patent number: 6388983
Abstract: In the conventional clamp mechanism for a disk drive, since a clamper is attracted by a magnetic plate in a non-clamped state of the disk D, when the disk drive receives vibrations or shocks, the clamper is released from attraction by the magnetic plate to create displacement of the clamper. Since, in the clamp mechanism for a disk drive of the present invention, the holding arm lifts up the clamper and maintains a lifted-up state of the clamper in the non-clamped state of the disk D, the vibrations or shocks received by the disk drive will not cause displacement of the clamper.

  • Patent number: 6385758
Abstract: In a graphic layout system, a terminal constraint graph generator (104) prepares terminal constraint graph data with component terminals (except routes) as one and the other nodes. Calculation is made of a limit of movement of the one node towards the other node in a moving direction with a routing zone interposed therebetween. The routing zone has a width equal to a sum of the width of a route or routes in the routing zone and a necessary gap. The limit of movement is memorized as a component relative movement limit length. The terminal constraint graph generator (104) prepares component constraint graph data recording as a graph length a minimum value of the component relative movement limit length with respect to the same component terminals. By the use of the component constraint graph data, a component compactor (107) compacts the arrangement of components.

  • Patent number: 6317864
Abstract: A layout data converter (111) is supplied with layout data and prepares segment data. In response to an instruction from an operating section (102), an instruction input device prepares necessary data. In order to move each component in a movement target direction, a terminal constraint graph generator (104) calculates, with reference to the respective data, a moving group relative movement limit length within which one component is movable towards another component with a wire interposed therebetween, subtracts the moving group relative movement limit length from a moving distance of the one component to obtain a difference, and memorizes the difference as a moving distance of the other component. A component compactor (107) moves each component over the moving distance thus obtained. A wire compactor (108) calculates routing limit position data representative of a routing limit position determined by pulling the wire between the components around the other component.

  • Patent number: 6301686
Abstract: In a graphic layout compaction system for compacting a layout where components and routes are placed on a two-dimensional space, a terminal graph generator prepares terminal graph data indicative of terminal graphs having component terminals as nodes. The terminal graph generator calculates, as a movement amount for allowing a first component terminal to come near a second component terminal, a movement limit area within which the first component terminal can move in any directions towards the second component terminal in consideration of a route bandwidth interposed therebetween. A component compactor moves the first component terminal on a position where the first component terminal is not interfered with the movement limit area. A rerouting unit shapes routes into shaped routes having configurations including oblique parts to reroute the shaped routes in a space between the first and the second component terminals.
