    Abstract: A method is disclosed for constructing a manhole structure in which a manhole and a pipe are joined together by using a waterproof flexible joint. The joint includes a rigid cylindrical portion and a cylindrical flexible portion that has a covering portion to be fixed around an outer periphery of said pipe, a fixing portion fixed to an outer periphery of said rigid cylindrical portion and to be fixed to the manhole and a connecting portion connecting the covering portion to the fixing portion and made of an elastic material being capable of absorbing a displacement between the manhole and the pipe. The waterproof flexible joint is located around the outer periphery of the pipe, and the covering portion is fixed around the outer periphery of the pipe.     Abstract: An ingot is manufactured by pulling it up such that V/Ga and V/Gb become 0.23 to 0.50 mm2/minute. ° C., respectively, where V (mm/minute) is a pulling-up speed, and Ga (° C./mm) is an axial temperature gradient at the center of the ingot and Gb (° C./mm) is an axial temperature gradient at the edge of the ingot at temperatures in a range of 1,300° C. to a melting point of silicon. A wafer obtained by slicing the ingot is heat treated in a reductive atmosphere at temperatures in a range of 1,050° C. to 1,220° C. for 30 to 150 minutes. A silicon wafer free of OSF's, tree of COP's, and substantially free of contamination such as Fe and of occurrence of slip, is obtained.

Thee hydroxycarboxylic acid content of the supporting liquid is such that molar ratio of group VIB metal:hydroxycarboxylic acid is 1:0.05 to 1:1 and the hydrogen peroxide content of the supporting liquid is such that molar ratio of group VIB metal:hydrogen peroxide is 1:0.03 to 1:1. The catalyst made with the supporting liquid has excellent desulfurization activity.

    Abstract: A method for hydrodesulfurization which comprises introducing partially desulfurized oil, which is a light oil fraction containing sulfur, and hydrogen to a reactor packed with a hydrodesulfurization catalyst, wherein the partially desulfurized oil has a sulfur content of 2000 ppm or less and preferably a polycyclic aromatic compound content of 3 wt % or more, wherein the amount of hydrogen sulfide contained in the partially desulfurized oil and hydrogen introduced to the reactor is 1.5 mol % or less with respect to that of the hydrogen introduced, and wherein the hydrodesulfurization catalyst comprises a carrier comprising a porous inorganic oxide and also comprises tungsten and one of nickel and cobalt as a metal component supported on the carrier. The method allows the production of a desulfurized light oil having a sulfur content of 50 ppm or less without the use of a special crude oil, and under operation conditions providing high productivity.
