    Abstract: A semiconductor device comprises a square-shaped first semiconductor chip having a first LSI, a square-shaped second semiconductor chip having a second LSI, which is smaller in size than the first semiconductor chip and connected to the first semiconductor chip by face down bonding, and a square-shaped package made of a molding resin for packaging the first and second semiconductor chips. The respective centers of the first and second semiconductor chips are offset from each other, while the center of the second semiconductor chip is substantially coincident with the center of the molding resin.

    Abstract: The present invention reduces crosstalk noise, which occurs as a result of interference between signals running in each of respective wiring layers of a first semiconductor chip and a second semiconductor chip stacked surface to surface with a small gap. The semiconductor device includes a first semiconductor chip (1) having a first electrode pad (2) and a first wiring layer (9), and a second semiconductor chip (5) having a second electrode pad (6) and a second wiring layer (10). A bump (4) is provided for electrically coupling the first electrode pad (2) and the second electrode pad (6). An insulation layer 8 is disposed between confronting surfaces of the first semiconductor chip (1) and the second semiconductor chip (5). An electro-conductive layer (7) is disposed between the confronting surfaces of the first semiconductor chip and the second semiconductor chip.

    Abstract: A method and device for increasing the amount of fuel to an engine during acceleration is provided. A secondary source of fuel in addition to a first source of fuel is introduced into the engine during acceleration. The secondary source of fuel is introduced through a secondary fuel delivery line which is opened by a valve actuated in response to throttle control movement. In a first embodiment, the secondary fuel delivery line communicates with a fuel delivery area from which fuel is supplied to the first fuel source. The valve is pressed open by the throttle control along with a primary fuel source needle valve control, allowing fuel from the fuel delivery area to flow through the second fuel line in addition to the first fuel source. In second and third embodiments, the secondary fuel line communicates with an excess fuel return line. A valve extends across the fuel return line and secondary fuel line.

In order to protect the catalyst from water, a trap section is positioned in the power head and this is water cooled by a source of water which has not passed through the engine for its cooling prior to delivery to the trap section. In addition, the guide plate that separates the power head from the drive shaft housing and through which the exhaust gases pass is also water cooled. An arrangement is incorporated for permitting replacement and servicing of the catalytic converter. Although both above the water and below the water exhaust gas discharges are employed, all gases flowing to the atmosphere must pass through the catalytic converter.

    Abstract: A flexible wiring board is constructed by placing, on a surface of a flexible ultraviolet-transmissive base member in the form of a layer, a conductive member in the form of a layer and a covering member in the form of a layer. The conductive member has an exposed leading area not covered with the covering member. A lead is aligned with an electrode and they are connected together with pressure exerted by a pressure applying jig which is ultraviolet-transmissive. A photosetting adhesive resin capable of shrinking in volume is injected between the flexible wiring board and a printed circuit board. The photosetting adhesive resin is irradiated with ultraviolet passing through the pressure applying jig and the base member. When irradiated with the ultraviolet rays, the photosetting adhesive resin hardens. Volume shrinkage force exerted by the photosetting adhesive resin enhances the connection between the lead and the electrode.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a semiconductor chip removal method of removing a semiconductor chip having thereon a chip electrode from a board having thereon a board electrode wherein the semiconductor chip is bonded to the board with a resin and these chip and board electrodes are connected together electrically by a wire. This semiconductor chip removal method comprises the following steps of: (a) cutting the bonding wire into two pieces by a cutter that presses its cutting edge against the base of the bonding wire on the board electrode's side; (b) separating the semiconductor chip from the board by a chip remover that forces the semiconductor chip sideways, with the adhesive strength of the resin weakened by the application of heat thereto; and (c) removing the semiconductor chip together with a piece of the bonding wire left on the chip electrode's side.
