  • Patent number: 6586695
Abstract: In a key switch device, an outer wall of an engagement member of a key top is interposed between a pinch shaft and an upper shaft of a first link member, while an outer wall of an engagement member of the key top is interposed between a pinch shaft and an upper shaft of a second link member. When the key top is pulled up, the pinch shaft and the upper shaft of the first link member cooperate with each other to pinch the outer wall of the engagement member, and the pinch shaft and the upper shaft of the second link member cooperate with each other to pinch the outer wall of the engagement member. Thus, when the key top is pulled up, the key top is removed together with the first and second link members, thereby facilitating reassembly and maintenance of the key switch device.

  • Patent number: 6371671
Abstract: A key switch is configured such that each of a first cam portion 24 of a first link member 3 and a second cam portion 35 of a second link member 4 is provided with first and second cam surfaces 25, 26 and a cam apex 27. Plate springs 20, 31 are integrally provided in the first and second cam portions 24, 35 respectively. When a key top 2 is depressed, the urging force of the plate springs causes the first cam surfaces 25 of both the first and second cam portions to come into contact with each other. Thus the key top is securely held in the depressed position. When key top 2 is pressed the second cam surfaces 26 of the first and second cam portions 24, 35 come into contact with each other while the upward movement of the first and second link members 3, 4 is retained based on the urging force of the plate springs 20, 31, causing the elastic resinous pieces 24A, 35A to perform a switching operation.

  • Patent number: 6364629
Abstract: A valve structure includes a central valve plate having a valve hole, and a flexible valve element having a root portion lying on the central valve plate and a bendable portion to open and close the valve hole. A retainer element has a retaining surface to restrict deformation of the valve element when it is bent toward the retainer element to open the valve hole. The profile is expressed in a two-dimensional coordinate system (x, y), and the freely bent shape is represented by coordinates (x, f(x)) obtained by pushing the valve element at an abscissa position corresponding to the center of the valve element. The retaining surface has a profile containing a coordinate (x′, f(x′)−K) so that the profile is displaced toward the central valve plate with respect to a freely bent shape of the valve element.

  • Patent number: 6215230
Abstract: A stacked-type piezoelectric actuator includes a rectangular stack body having a plurality of piezoelectric ceramic layers and a plurality of internal electrode layers stacked alternately in a stacking direction. Alternate internal electrode layers disposed in the stacking direction are only exposed in two outer side surfaces of the stack body, while the alternate internal electrode layers are exposed in the other two outer side surfaces of the stack body. Two external electrodes are formed on opposite ones of the four outer side surfaces of the stack body. Thus, alternate internal electrode layers are connected to one of the external electrodes but electrically insulated from the other external electrodes. While the other internal electrode layers are insulated from the external electrodes and are connected to the other one of the external electrodes.

  • Patent number: 6158974
Abstract: The retainers of a reciprocating compressor are kept from deforming by the pressure of discharged refrigerant when there is a overload due to liquid compression and so forth, by linking inclined pieces with a gentle slope on the retainers serving as members for restricting the opening angle of the reed valve type discharge valves, with a linking member or by making the width dimension of the base portion of the inclined pieces with a gentle slope greater than the width dimension of the tip portion thereof, thereby improving the rigidity of the retainers, and consequently improving the reliability of the reciprocating compressor.

  • Patent number: 5867819
Abstract: An audio decoder which can reduce a memory circuit capacity necessary for performing a series of decoding processes and can perform a down mixing. The audio decoder decodes audio data of a plurality of channels encoded in a frequency domain by using a time base to frequency base conversion. After a down mixing process was performed to the audio data of the frequency domain by frequency domain down mixing circuit, it is converted into audio data of a time domain by frequency base to time base converting circuit, thereby reducing memories by the number corresponding to the reduced number of channels. Further, by executing an inverse quantizing process of each channel and a frequency base to time base converting process of each channel by pipeline processes, a work buffer can be shared in both of the processes.

  • Patent number: 5768974
Abstract: A swash plate type compressor includes an improved thrust bearing for axially supporting the swash plate. The bearing is of a composite type, and includes at least two elastically deformable slide bearing elements. The swash plate and the cylinder block each have seat portions, which are of different diameters. The two bearing elements are compressed between the respective seat portions into an elastically deformed conically-shaped state, with the amount of conical deformation depending upon the amount of axial compression that is applied to the bearing by tightening the assembly bolts of the compressor. In operation, one of the conically shaped slide bearing elements is pressed outwardly against the other by centrifugal force as the compressor shaft rotates. During start up and low speed operation of the compressor, this centrifugal force will have minimal effect, and the bearing elements will rotate with respect to each other, keeping internal frictional resistance low.

  • Patent number: 5733107
Abstract: A compressor with a compressing device compresses gas containing oil mist. The compressing device includes a compression chamber. A receiving chamber receives the compressed gas discharged from the compression chamber. The receiving chamber has a duct for discharging the gas from the receiving chamber. A hollow cylinder communicates with the duct and projects inside the receiving chamber. The gas directed toward the duct flows around the cylinder to generate centrifugal force for separating the oil mist from the gas.

  • Patent number: 5703579
Abstract: In an encoder for decoding compression data obtained by conducting a compression encoding for digital data through subband division, logarithmic compression, and variable-bit-length quantization, an exponent of an exponent operation is separated into an integer part and a fraction part to obtain an operation formula such that an operation related to the fraction part is executed through a multiplication and an operation associated with the integer part is accomplished through a shift operation. In addition, using a correlation between results of the calculations, the number of calculation steps is reduced. Moreover, one type of information data is written in an area in which another type of information data is beforehand written so as to minimize the necessary memory capacity.

  • Patent number: 5694828
Abstract: Disclosed is a compressor designed to facilitate the assembling of the thrust bearing and reduce noise. A swash plate which moves in responsive to the drive shaft is arranged in a crank chamber defined in a pair of cylinder blocks. Ring washers are held between both bosses of the swash plate and seats formed on both cylinder blocks. Wedge-like clearances are formed between the washers and the seats of the cylinder blocks for the effective introduction of the refrigerant gas by the yawing of the swash plate which occurs as the compressor runs. At this time, the washers, together with the lubrication oil mist contained in the refrigerant gas, constitute the dynamic bearing to support the swash plate and permit the relative movement of the swash plate to the cylinder blocks.
