  • Publication number: 20090146478
Abstract: Reduces backlash and clearance in a thrust direction of a worm when engaging a seat back to more securely prevent the generation of abnormal noise that before. A movable bearing 12 is pressed by cams 21, 22 that are pressing members, when the seat back is stopped at a predetermined angle, to approach a worm wheel 5. A ball 14 disposed in a recess 12a of the movable bearing 12 moves slightly along an inner surface of the recess 12a so a worm 4 is pressed to the worm wheel 5 side and pressed to the fixed bearing 11 side, and a latch member 23 that is a engaging member engages the worm 4 to inhibit rotation of the worm wheel 5 thereby securely holding that state. Since the movable bearing 12 moves to the worm wheel 5 side, the substantial movement range of the ball is wider compared to a structure that supports a ball only at a fixed bearing, and the range of displacement of the worm 4 by being pressed by the ball is substantially larger.

  • Patent number: 6788144
Abstract: A variable-gain amplifier that prevents the change in the in-phase voltage of the output occurring when the gain is changed and improves the frequency characteristic compared with the conventional method. The differential current of currents I13 and I13′ changes corresponding to input signal S1. As a result, the differential current of currents I11 and I12 also change correspondingly, and the differential voltage v13 between nodes N1 and N2 varies. The gain of differential voltage v13 with respect to input signal S1 is variable corresponding to the current conversion gains of current converters 2 and 3. When the current conversion gains vary corresponding to the input signal S2, the voltages at nodes N1′ and N2′ are adjusted such that the voltages at nodes N1 and N2 are constant with respect to the change in gain.

  • Patent number: 6703953
Abstract: A channel region (2), a source region (3) and a drain region (4) are formed on a polycrystalline semiconductor layer (1). The characteristic of a polycrystalline TFT (101) is dispersed by the amount of crystal grain boundaries (6) contained in the channel region (2). A drain current is reduced as the amount of the crystal grain boundaries (6) contained in the channel region (2) is increased. In order to utilize a code obtained by encoding the electric characteristic of the TFT (101) for identification of a semiconductor chip, a system or the like, the TFT (101) is mounted on the semiconductor chip, the system or the like along with an encoder circuit. Thus, a barrier against illegal use of a user terminal is improved at a low cost.

  • Publication number: 20040012134
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to make a damping force variable in a damping device that uses a magnetic fluid. In a damping device using a magnetic fluid as an operating oil, the present invention includes a groove portion 34a as a leakage magnetic field generating portion that is provided in one appropriate place or more of a pair of flow path forming members forming a fluid flow path 22b and that generates a strong leakage magnetic field to the fluid flow path 22b. Accordingly, the use of only a permanent magnet enables the behavior of magnetic particles in the magnetic fluid to be changed according to a relative position of a casing 20 and a movable portion 30 and enables a damping force to be variable, without using an electromagnet.

  • Publication number: 20030234476
Abstract: A magnetic spring device and a vibration damping apparatus, which are simpler and cheaper to manufacture, are disclosed. The magnetic spring device includes a plurality of stationary magnets, which are spaced apart to define a space between them, and a magnetic movable element, which is fit in the space. The magnetic poles of the stationary magnets are opposite to each other. The movable element is moved by the magnetic force generated by the stationary magnets in a parallel direction with the magnetic field. The properly positioned stationary magnets and movable element form a magnetic spring device, which together with additional properly positioned magnets alone may be used as a vibration damping apparatus. Also, when the magnetic spring device is combined with a cushioning member such as a metal spring, rubber or the like to form a vibration damping apparatus, the total elastic constant of the vibration damping apparatus may be near zero.
