  • Patent number: 7680486
Abstract: An object of the invention is to save the trouble of mapping sensor chips on a map information system. A map information management unit 124 is accessed via a network 122. Neighborhood information based on a present position measured by an own position measuring unit 102 is obtained by searching a map DB 127. A sensor information setting unit 106 displays the neighborhood information in a display unit 108. An ID reading unit 104 reads an ID 111 of a sensor chip 110, and registers the ID 111 in the map DB 127 after associating it with equipment information displayed in the display unit 108. The measurement values measured by a sensor 112 are transmitted from an antenna 114 and received by a sensor information receiving unit 119 of the receiver 118. A sensor information communication unit 120 accesses the network 122 and the measurements are transmitted to a sensor information management unit 123. The measurement values are accumulated in a sensor DB 126.

  • Patent number: 7540019
Abstract: A processing device has a personal authentication information receiving unit for receiving personal authentication information, a security information DB, and a processing information managing unit. The processing information managing unit converts the personal authentication information received by the personal authentication receiving unit to a user ID, detects an event concerning a processing operation, and associates the event with the user ID, thereby creating or updating an access management table for processing performance information, for storage in the security information DB. The processing information management unit then controls access to the processing performance information based on the access management table and the user ID obtained by conversion of the personal authentication information received by the personal authentication information receiving unit.

  • Publication number: 20080021607
Abstract: In a navigation system integrated with a diagnostic device, an arithmetic and control unit for diagnostic communication makes an inquiry to electronic control units, such as an engine control unit, a transmission control unit and a brake control unit connected a CAN, about data which is used for the diagnosis of trouble causes based on setting information stored in a memory through diagnostic communication. An arithmetic and control unit for navigation system receives messages responding to the inquiry to sift through the data to be collected based on the setting information in the memory and stores the collected information in a hard disk drive device. The setting information is updated by making an inquiry to an external center via a mobile communication network.

  • Patent number: 7310812
Abstract: A system allows a user to select a service on a device and request a service executing function of a server to carry out the service. An authentication function authenticates the user and searches the functions of devices required in the requested service within the authority given to the user. The function acquires and registers the right to use in a device-configuration managing function through a right-to-use managing function. An adaptor delivering function delivers specifications for setting connections between functions required for execution of the service and a group encryption key generated by a key-generating function to devices. Device coordinating functions set device-embedded functions based on the received specifications. The functions conduct cipher communication with other devices using the key and carry out the service.

  • Publication number: 20070160199
Abstract: A copy control apparatus is provided in one-to-one correspondence with a car navigation system. Connection of the copy control apparatus with an information processing apparatus such as a PC enables to transmit content only from the information processing apparatus to which the copy control apparatus is connected to the car navigation system. With this configuration, the copy control apparatus stores a device key used to encrypt the content, and encrypts the device key with another encryption key to transmit the encrypted device key to the information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus encrypts a copy of the content by use of the received device key, and then sends the encrypted copy to a content receiving apparatus. The content receiving apparatus decrypts the received copy of the content by use of a stored device key, and then stores the decrypted copy of the content in a storage unit.

  • Publication number: 20030154407
Abstract: In a single-sign on system provided, being prevented from centralization of communication load and processing load onto a central system, with taking security and privacy into the consideration, an authentication portion of a field server makes check on an authentication information received from the portable terminal. A ticket issue portion issues a ticket, and then registers it in a ticket DB, as well as, transmits to the portable terminal. Receiving a permission certificate and the ticket from the portable terminal, a service provider portion provides service to the user within an area permitted by the permission certificate, while the ticket issue portion issues a new ticket to be transmitted to the portable terminal, when the ticket received is correct one. A past record inquiring portion gives an inquiry on correctness of the ticket to that field server when receiving the ticket issued by other field server.
