  • Publication number: 20220407393
Abstract: Provided is an inspection device for a rotating electric machine, the inspection device including a photographing device, a drive mechanism, a display, and a controller. The photographing device photographs a pattern formed on a surface of a wedge constituting part of an armature. The drive mechanism moves the photographing device with respect to a stator functioning as the armature. The controller detects strain of the wedge by comparing image data of the pattern photographed by the photographing device with reference data of the pattern. In this manner, the inspection device for a rotating electric machine can easily detect the strain of the wedge. Further, the controller estimates loosening of the wedge based on the strain of the wedge, and informs an operator of the rotating electric machine through the display that the loosening of the wedge has occurred.

  • Patent number: 11435238
Abstract: A temperature detection device includes: a detection processing unit configured to transmit a transmission radio wave, simultaneously receive a response radio wave corresponding to the transmission radio wave, and detect whether a temperature of an object to be measured is normal or abnormal based on the response radio wave; and a temperature sensing unit configured to receive the transmission radio wave and transmit the response radio wave responding to the transmission radio wave. The detection processing unit calculates, from the response radio wave received via a second antenna, an amplitude, a phase, or a quadrature phase amplitude of the response radio wave and compares the temperature of the object to be measured to a temperature determined in advance based on a result of the calculation.

  • Patent number: 11281691
Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for performing a data replication operation to replicate data from a first data processing system to a second data processing system. The mechanisms store a compression ratio history in association with data to be replicated. The compression ratio history stores one or more compression ratios for one or more previously executed data replication operations. The mechanisms determine whether a data compression operation should be applied to the data for a current data replication operation based on the compression ratio(s) in the compression ratio history. In response to determining that data compression should be applied to the data, the data compression operation is performed and the compressed data is replicated to the second data processing system. In response to determining that data compression should not be applied, the data is replicated without compression.

  • Patent number: 11030158
Abstract: A mechanism is provided in a data processing system for asynchronous replication in a hierarchical storage management integrated storage system. For a given file to be replicated from a primary storage system to a remote storage system, the primary storage system accesses the remote storage system to determine file existence and migration status at the remote storage system for the given file. Responsive to the primary storage system determining that the given file exists and has been migrated from first tier storage to second tier storage at the remote storage system, the primary storage system determines a first performance penalty for file recall and a second performance penalty for sending excess data from the primary storage system to the remote storage system.

  • Patent number: 10997127
Abstract: A system and method for preventing inefficient recalls in a hierarchical storage management (HSM) system are presented. Difference data may be received for updating a target file stored in a first storage system having at least an upper storage layer and a lower tape layer. The difference data may be stored in a stub file located on the upper storage layer and corresponding to the target file in the first storage system located on the lower tape layer. A recall operation may be executed that copies the target file from the lower tape layer to the upper storage layer. The difference data stored in the stub file may be copied to the target file copied onto the upper storage layer from the lower tape layer according to one or more predetermined events.
