  • Patent number: 5614909
Abstract: An FM radar system of more simple construction, smaller size, lower cost and improved performance is provided in which circulators of any type in the prior art are eliminated by constructing a transceiver comprised of a transmitting part and a receiving part, each formed on a common dielectric plate and having a dedicated transmitting antenna and a dedicated receiving antenna respectively. The antennas comprise planar array antennas, in contrast to the solid antennas used in prior art systems. The planar array antennas are also formed on the single dielectric plate. The transmitting part comprises a plurality of transmission antennas and a plurality of frequency multipliers coupled to said transmission antennas. The receiving part comprises a plurality of receiving antennas which are coupled to a plurality of switches through a plurality of mixers, frequency multipliers, and low noise amplifiers.

  • Patent number: 5602060
Abstract: Process for the production of semiconductor devices comprising the steps of applying a solution of the specified polycarbosilane in a solvent onto a substrate having electrically conductive components fabricated therein, and curing the coated layer of the polycarbosilane at a temperature of not less than 350.degree. C. in an oxidizing atmosphere to thereby covert the polycarbosilane layer to a silicon oxide layer. The resulting silicon oxide layer has a planarized surface and has no cracking and accordingly is useful as a dielectric layer and a protective layer in the production of semiconductor devices having a high reliability.

  • Patent number: 5599654
Abstract: A resin or amorphous carbon layer is coated on a substrate and then fluorinated by exposing it in a F.sub.2 gas atmosphere. The thus fluorinated resin or amorphous carbon layer can be excellent in dielectric constant and thermal resistance. The resin may be photo-sensitive so that the resin can be patterned before the fluorination. Alternatively, the resin can be fluorinated before patterning.

  • Patent number: 5346764
Abstract: A resin laminate is composed of a heat-sealable layer (A) containing a random copolymer obtainable by copolymerizing ethylene with an .alpha.-olefin having from 4 to 10 carbon atoms, having a density ranging from 0.900 to 0.920 g/cm.sup.3, a melt index ranging from 5 to 50 grams per 10 minutes (190 .degree. C.), and a film thickness ranging from 2 to 15 .mu.m; and a polyolefinic resin layer (B) having a tensile modulus of 4,000 kg/cm.sup.2 or higher and a melting point higher than that of the heat-sealable layer (A), in which the heat-sealable layer (A) is laminated on the polyolefinic resin layer (B).The resin laminate has an excellent heat sealability and is particularly suitable for packing liquid, powdery or granular matters such as various food, beverages, chemicals and the like.

  • Patent number: 4587561
Abstract: A noise reduction circuit arrangement for video signals under low brightness condition has a high-pass filter which detects the level of a video signal to switch the amount of passage of a high-frequency band component in accordance with a magnitude of the level. The video signal, produced from an image pickup element, is supplied to a low-pass filter and the high-pass filter. The high-frequency band component produced from the high-pass filter and changed in amplitude in accordance with the level of the video signal and a low-frequency band component produced from the low-pass filter are added at an adder so as to effect aperture correction in principle. The high-frequency band to be added is so controlled as to more decrease when the brightness of the video signal is low than when the brightness is not low.

  • Patent number: 4305910
Abstract: A catalytic reactor for reducing nitrogen oxide (NO.sub.x) contained in exhaust gas under the presence of ammonia is provided, wherein tubular catalyst units each being a ring shape in cross-section are disposed in spaced apart relationship from one another in the cross-section of the flow path of the exhaust gas in a manner that tubular axes thereof are in parallel with the direction of gas flow within a reaction vessel through which the exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxide (NO.sub.x) and ammonia flows, said catalyst units each being secured to the interior of the reaction vessel at least as two points in the longitudinal direction by support means.

  • Patent number: 4256439
Abstract: According to the invention, there is provided a power control system designed to effectively utilize the output power of an engine with the aid of a simple tilt control device, even if any of the pumps are operated under a no load condition. The control system comprises a pressure selector valve with the output pressures of two variable volume pumps of the same capacity being fed thereto, the lower output pressure being selected by the selector valve and introduced to a pilot portion of a tilt control of at least one of the other variable volume pumps, the output pressure of which is fed either directly or through another pressure selector valve to a pilot portion of at least one of the variable volume pumps of the same capacity, thereby controlling the power of the multiple pumps.
