  • Patent number: 7365890
Abstract: As a method of calibrating colors other than primary colors such as secondary colors, the contents of an ink color-separation table are reconstructed. However, it is difficult to reconstruct the ink color-separation table within the limitation of total ink amount permissible for a print sheet. Accordingly, a color patch corresponding to a signal value of a color to be calibrated is formed in a printer, then the signal value is calibrated based on a measured color value of the formed color patch and a target value corresponding to the signal value of the color to be calibrated, and calibration multidimensional table data is generated based on the measured color value of the formed color patch.

  • Patent number: 7362006
Abstract: A steering lock for ensuring an unlock state when it is imperative that the steering lock remain in the unlock state. The steering lock includes a motor for generating drive force that engages and locks a lock bar with a steering shaft. The steering lock includes an ECU. When shifting the steering lock to the unlock state from a lock state, the ECU controls the motor to generate drive force acting in a direction to urge the lock bar to disengage from the steering shaft. The ECU continuously controls the motor to generate drive force acting in the direction to urge the lock bar to disengage from the steering shaft even after the lock bar has moved to the unlock position.

  • Patent number: 7355750
Abstract: An image processing apparatus in which an appropriate color separation table is selected for an unexpected print medium. In plural color separation tables 108, maximum total color-material color discharge amounts are set to be stepwisely different. A ? correction table 109 is used upon correction of ? characteristics of the respective color-material colors regarding a print medium. A maximum total ink-amount calculation unit 110 calculates a maximum value of total ink amount for each color separation table 108 by using the ? correction table 109. A color separation table selector 107 determines a maximum value approximate to a value set by a maximum total ink-amount setting unit 106 from the calculated maximum values, and selects a color separation table corresponding to the determined maximum value. A color separation processor 102 performs processing based on the selected color separation table.

  • Patent number: 7311742
Abstract: An electric vacuum cleaner includes an inlet port through which a suctioned air stream including dirt particles pass and a centrifugal separation member having a substantially circular space therein. The centrifugal separation member has a swirl portion to swirl the dust-laden suction air stream along an inner surface of the centrifugal separation member. By forming swirl passageway between the swirl portion and the inner surface of the centrifugal separation member, the high velocity swirling air stream can be made and consequently an efficiency of separating the dirt particles from the suction air and collecting the dirt particles can be improved.

Abstract: A solid-state image pick-up apparatus that is capable of suppressing luminance flicker and chroma flicker occurring under a florescent lamp. The apparatus has a CCD solid-state image pick-up device. The image pick-up device further includes an accumulation region that is able to temporarily accumulate signal charges that have been photoelectrically converted in a sensor unit. The device is able to exercise exposure control with the use of an electronic shutter. The apparatus also has a timing generating circuit that generates a shutter pulse XSUB and a read pulse XSG. The shutter pulse XSUB is used for determining a plurality of (for example, three) exposure periods during one field for the image pick-up device. The read pulse XSG is used for reading to the accumulation region the signal charges that have been accumulated in the sensor unit during a plurality of exposure periods.

  • Patent number: 7306640
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner includes a first dirt separation unit and a second dirt separation unit. The first dirt separation unit has a first inlet port through which a suction air stream including dirt particles is introduced thereinto, and the second dirt separation unit has a second inlet port through which the air stream introduced into the first dirt separation unit is introduced into the second dirt separation. The first and the second inlet port are disposed such that they are not registered with each other. Accordingly, the dirt particles suctioned are separated in two stages, thereby decreasing the possibility of occlusion of a filter and rapid deterioration of a suction force.

  • Publication number: 20070127085
Abstract: A printing system, a printing method, and a program capable of preventing data embedded in an electronic document to be printed from increasing even if the amount of information relating to the electronic document to print become huge. To accomplish this, when a host computer 1200 issues a print command for printing an electronic document, the system is searched for the original electronic document and the electronic document found is printed on a printer (MFP 100). Information relating to the electronic document is obtained and written in a file. The file in which the information has been written is stored in a predetermined location in the system. Then, print image of the electronic document to which an image of the storage location of the file is added is generated and the print image is printed out on a printing medium.

  • Publication number: 20070084551
Abstract: A method and apparatus for laser welding two members made of thermoplastic resin material whereby high welding strength can be achieved and strength variations can be reduced. A first member 2 comprised of a transmissive thermoplastic resin that transmits a laser beam is brought into contact with a second member 3 comprised of an absorptive thermoplastic resin that absorbs a laser beam. Contact surfaces 4 are melted with a laser beam so as to join the two members. At least the contact surfaces 4 of the two members are pre-heated by a pre-heating means 20 at a temperature lower than the melting temperature of the contact surfaces. The contact surfaces 4 are then irradiated with a laser beam R generated by a laser beam generator 10 that is shone from the side of the first member so as to melt at least one of the contact surfaces of the two members.
