  • Patent number: 5834916
Abstract: A control unit for an industrial robot comprising a speed command device for outputting a speed command signal for the industrial robot and a servo control device which outputs to a servo motor of each of a plurality of axes of rotation of the industrial robot, in response to the speed command signal, an electric current corresponding to the speed command signal. The servo control performs feedback control of the industrial robot, in response to a signal from an encoder of each of the axes of rotation of the industrial robot, so as to actuate the servo motor at a speed designated by the speed command signal. The speed command device includes a comparison member for comparing an actual speed of the industrial robot calculated from a pulse train of a signal returning from the encoder with the speed designated by the speed command signal.

  • Patent number: 5812998
Abstract: A grouped data base 10 includes a plurality of sub-databases 10A, in which data have been stored, for respective ones of data sets having specific classification data ("male", "female", "annual income of 20,000,000 yen or more"). The grouped data base 10 is searched in accordance with a given search condition. Given search conditions are stored successively in a search-result data base 11. The sub-data bases 10A contained in the grouped data base 10 are reorganized so as to be in line with those given search conditions that have a high frequency of occurrence.

  • Patent number: 5796618
Abstract: A machining information determination system and method for operating the same in which control data and optimum machining information of a machine tool can be determined automatically from the comparison of a model having the shape of a workpiece before machining and a model having the shape of the workpiece after machining. A CAD apparatus creates before- and after-machining workpiece shape information based on before- and after-machining models of the workpiece. Information regarding the material of the workpiece and stage of machining to be applied to the workpiece is entered via an input unit. Based on the information from the CAD apparatus and the input unit, a machining determination apparatus determines the optimum machining information for machining the workpiece. The optimum machining information and the information from the CAD apparatus is inputted into a CAM apparatus, which creates NC data, applied to the workpiece via a machine tool.

  • Patent number: 5784119
Abstract: In a video decoding device, a system decoding section analyzes header information included in multiplex data and performs various operations, including the separation of data, on the basis of the header information. An STC (System Time Clock) counter generates, based on an SCR (System Clock Reference)/PCR (Program Clock Reference) which is time reference data included in the multiplex data, a system clock synchronous to the system clock of a coding device. A video decoding section decodes video data included in the multiplex data in response to the system clock. Also, the video decoding section generates a clock for video display synchronous to the system clock and outputs the decoded video data in response to the clock for video display.

  • Patent number: 5758030
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and method in which it is possible to set information retrieval conditions wherein the user's intention in performing retrieval is reflected satisfactorily, and in which fuzzy retrieval can be performed in accordance with the retrieval conditions thus set. According to the present invention, the user, in the setting of retrieval conditions, is capable of freely connecting preconditions, which represent the desired conditions with regard to attribute signals in a data base, using one or a plurality of MEAN, MIN and MAX operations. Accordingly, it is possible to set retrieval conditions that fully reflect the intentions of the user. Moreover, fuzzy retrieval processing in accordance with retrieval conditions set by the user is executed and retrieved results reflecting the intentions of the user are obtained.

  • Patent number: 5751918
Abstract: A robot includes a robot body to which the procedure of a task is teachable, a teaching portion, an operating portion, a control portion, and a changeover portion. The teaching portion includes a signal generating portion for generating a drive signal for driving the robot body, and a deadman switch which indicates by its opened/closed state whether the procedure of the task is being taught to the robot body or not. The operating portion generates a start signal for starting the robot body. The control portion receives the drive signal and a signal indicating the opened/closed state of the deadman from the teaching portion and the start signal from the operating portion. The changeover portion operates so that the start signal from the operating portion is prevented from being supplied to the control portion when the teaching portion is electrically connected to the control portion.

  • Patent number: 5680606
Abstract: Data stored in a data base (21) includes crisp numbers expressed by definite numerical values, fuzzy numbers expressed by attaching "about" to numerical values, and fuzzy labels represented by fuzzy language. Status codes are used to distinguish these types of data, and data is stored in the data base (21) upon attaching the status codes thereto. Membership function data accessed using data and the status codes attached thereto is stored in a fuzzy data dictionary (22). When a retrieval condition has been given, data related to this retrieval condition is retrieved in the data base (21). If this data is data involving a fuzzy concept, the membership function data corresponding to this data is extracted from the fuzzy data dictionary (22). Fuzzy-retrieval execution means (20) calculates the degree of membership of the membership function data with respect to the retrieval condition and outputs the result through an output unit (24).

  • Patent number: 5663322
Abstract: The present invention is directed to diadenosine tetraphosphate (AP4A) tetrasodium salt dodecahydrate crystals represented by the following structure: ##STR1## Compared with the conventional amorphous anhydride of AP4A tetrasodium salt, the AP4A tetrasodium salt dodecahydrate crystals of the present invention have a low hygroscopicity and very stable physical properties. During storage, they are scarcely affected by environmental humidity. Thus, the present crystals can be easily handled as a medicine or a starting material for preparing a medicine, which broadens their application range.

  • Patent number: 5651100
Abstract: A threshold value is set in advance for each of a number of conclusions. Possibility values of conclusions obtained from an approximate reasoning apparatus are compared with the corresponding threshold values, and a conclusion whose possibility value is equal to or greater than its threshold value is outputted (displayed). When information indicative of an error is entered with regard to a conclusion whose possibility value is equal to or greater than the corresponding threshold value but which actually does not hold true, or a conclusion whose possibility value is less than the corresponding threshold value but which actually does hold true, the threshold value concerning the conclusion that has produced the error is revised dynamically. The weights of conclusions are set. By multiplying the possibility value of a conclusion from an approximate reasoning apparatus by the weight set for this conclusion, a score is calculated for every conclusion.
