  • Patent number: 4855159
Abstract: The present application is directed to a process for producing a processed soybean food having a phosphorus and potassium content reduced by 30% or more. The process comprises heating 1 part by weight of soybean at 70.degree.-150.degree. C. for 1 to 60 minutes in the presence of water, soaking the heated soybean in 5-100 parts by weight of water at a pH of 3 to 6.5 and a temperature of 10.degree.-80.degree. C. for 5 to 36 hours, separating the soybean from the soaking liquor and washing the separated soybean with 1-100 parts by weight of water at a pH of 5 to 9 and a temperature of 10.degree.-80.degree. C. for 10 minutes to 3 hours.

  • Patent number: 4836429
Abstract: A web conveying apparatus comprising a series of air jetting boxes alternately arranged on opposite sides of a conveyed web. Each air jetting box has two outlets jetting air toward the web. The outlets are at opposite edges of the air jetting box and direct the air inwardly at an angle of 15.degree. to 45.degree. from the perpendicular of the main or air jetting surface of the box.

  • Patent number: 4821976
Abstract: A dual reel string winding and unwinding apparatus for us with stunt kites including a first spool and a second spool, each having two pairs of aligned holes extending through flanges therein. A first and second pair of posts extend through the aligned holes in the first and second spools to cause such spools to rotate together. A connector, having an axle thereon, is connected to the first and second posts and a handle is rotatably mounted on the axle of the connector. One of the posts extends far enough through both spools that it can be utilized as a handle so that by grasping the handle on the axle and the handle on one of the posts, the two reels can be rotated simultaneously together in either direction. A guide is connected to the handle on the axle and is disposed radially outwardly from the spools so as to guide the string either onto or off from the proper spools.

  • Patent number: 4790468
Abstract: In a floating type web guiding device in which a moving web is guided along a guide surface with fluid jetting holes while being floated above the guide surface, two groups of flow straightening boards are provided respectively at the web lead-in part and the web lead-out part of the guide surface in such a manner that the boards are arranged in parallel with the direction of movement of the web and perpendicular to the web surface, so that the web can be conveyed without rubbing the web surface.

  • Patent number: 4775939
Abstract: A tilt steering mechanism, a telescopic steering mechanism and a seat attitude adjusting mechanism are controlled in their attitudes by an electric motor such that the respective attitudes are automatically set into a retreat attitude where the driver easily gets on and off a vehicle upon boarding/alighting, and into a driving attitude assumed before retreat upon the completion of boarding. Whether or not the driver is about to get on and off the vehicle is judged in accordance with the status of an ignition switch, status of a door switch, vehicle speed, status of a parking brake, shift lever position of a transmission, etc. A change speed of attitude is monitored during energization of the electric motor and, if the change speed is less than a predetermined value, this is judged as the presence of overload and the electric motor is stopped.

  • Patent number: 4661752
Abstract: A safety system in an apparatus for adjusting attitudes of a tilt mechanism and a telescopic mechanism of a steering wheel by means of an electric motor. A change speed of attitude is monitored and, when the monitored result becomes less than a predetermined value, this is judged as the presence of overload, whereupon the direction of driving of the electric motor is reversed. When a time of the reverse operation or the number of strokes during the reverse operation reaches a predetermined value, the electric motor is set to stop. Attitude information is sampled with intervals of a predetermined time and, when a change amount of the attitude information is less than a predetermined value, this is judged as the presence of overload.

  • Patent number: 4335747
Abstract: A connecting device for conduits comprising a female connecting element having an axial bore opening at one end, and a male connecting element adapted to be inserted into the axial bore of the female connecting element. A first ball valve assembly has a housing adapted to be mounted at one end on the female connecting element and formed at the other end with a flat mating surface. In the housing, there is a spherical valve element having a diametrically extending through-hole. The mating surface of the housing is formed with an opening through which a part of the valve element projects. On the male connecting element, there is mounted a second ball valve assembly which is similar in structure to the first ball valve assembly except that the spherical valve element does not project beyond the mating surface but is formed with a part-spherical recess for receiving the projected portion of the valve element in the first ball valve assembly.
