  • Publication number: 20040222352
Abstract: Light that has entered a lens held by a barrel portion of a three-dimensional circuit board transmitting virtually no visible light enters a semiconductor imaging device held inside the three-dimensional circuit board. On the side opposite to the barrel portion, the three-dimensional circuit board is provided with a flexible printed circuit for sending a signal to and receiving a signal from the semiconductor imaging device. The region of the flexible printed circuit facing the semiconductor imaging device has sufficient shielding characteristics in a range sensitive to light reception by the semiconductor imaging device. This makes it possible to provide a sufficient shield against a light beam entering from the back surface of the semiconductor imaging device, so that the image quality does not deteriorate even when a conventional shielding sheet is not used.

  • Publication number: 20030235012
Abstract: In a magnetic disk apparatus comprising a flexible printed circuit for supplying power to a magnetic head and a coil of a voice coil motor, included is a dummy flexible printed circuit having the same mechanical characteristic as that of the flexible printed circuit. The dummy flexible printed circuit and the flexible printed circuit are located at positions establishing an axial-symmetrical relation with respect to a line connecting a pivot bearing, which rotatably supports a suspension, with a center of the coil of the voice coil motor. • Publication number: 20030232219
Abstract: Provided is a magnetic disk capable of reducing waves and realizing a high recording density. A main surface of the disk is made from a silicate glass substrate and has a magnetic recording layer and a shaft at its central portion. The sodium ions of the main surface of the disk are replaced with potassium ions so that the potassium ion concentration increases toward an outer circumference of the disk and the strength or rigidity of the disk increases accordingly toward the outer circumference of the disk. This can reduce waves which tend to occur on the outer circumferential side of the disk.

  • Patent number: 6594336
Abstract: An intensity modulated radio therapy (IMRT) dosimeter measuring a three-dimensional absorption dose distribution in a transparent plastic phantom readily and accurately. In the IMRT dosimeter, radiation beams are directed to a phantom assembly having a scintillation fiber block sandwiched between two blocks of the phantom. As an intensity of light proportional to the radiation beam is emitted from one side of the scintillation fiber block, its profile is measured by an image sensor. Then, the three-dimensional absorption dose distribution is obtained from the light intensity distribution data. By summing the three-dimensional absorption dose distribution data measured with the radiation beam at different angles, an integrated three-dimensional absorption dose distribution in the phantom can be calculated readily and accurately.

  • Patent number: 6473267
Abstract: The height of the lower head is equal to that of the upper heads. A mounting plate is provided between the lower head and a carriage to provide penetration arrangement. The lower head is fixed on the carriage through the mounting plate with adhesive. The mounting plate has a rough area having small holes to provide surely adhering with accuracy. The thickness of the mounting plate is accurate because of punching (cutting) processing and is greater than that of the shutter. The width of the mounting plate is greater than that of the lower head but smaller than the shutter opening of the floppy cartridge to avoid influence to the motion of access of the magnetic head to the floppy disk. The gimbal plate for the lower magnetic head is omitted, so that the orientation of said lower magnetic head is fixed.
