  • Publication number: 20020131552
Abstract: An IMRT dosimeter is capable of measuring a three-dimensional absorption dose distribution in a transparent plastic phantom (202a) readily and accurately. In the IMRT dosimeter, radiation beams (201a, 201b) are directed to a phantom assembly having a scintillation fiber block (204a) sandwiched between two blocks of the phantom (202a). As an intensity of light proportional to the radiation beam is emitted from one side of the scintillation fiber block (204a), its profile is measured by an image sensor (205). Then, the three-dimensional absorption dose distribution is obtained from the light intensity distribution data. By summing the three-dimensional absorption dose distribution data measured through the radiation beam at different angles, an integrated three-dimensional absorption dose distribution in the phantom (202a) can be calculated readily and accurately.

  • Publication number: 20010040768
Abstract: The height of the lower head is equal to that of the upper heads. A mounting plate is provided between the lower head and a carriage to provide penetration arrangement. The lower head is fixed on the carriage through the mounting plate with adhesive. The mounting plate has a rough area having small holes to provide surely adhering with accuracy. The thickness of the mounting plate is accurate because of punching (cutting) processing and is greater than that of the shutter. The width of the mounting plate is greater than that of the lower head but smaller than the shutter opening of the floppy cartridge to avoid influence to the motion of access of the magnetic head to the floppy disk. The gimbal plate for the lower magnetic head is omitted, so that the orientation of said lower magnetic head is fixed.

  • Patent number: 6268892
Abstract: An anti-reflective film laminated on the display surface of a cathode ray tube which is not prone to pealing with age includes an extension on each of the four sides of the main film surface. The extensions from the main anti-reflective film surface are preferably rectangular and can be wrapped around the sides of the cathode ray tube adjacent to the display surface. A heat shrink band is then constricted around the cathode ray tube to fix the anti-reflective film in place. Strips of conductive material on the extensions of the anti-reflective film can be electrically connected to grounding electrodes on the heat shrink band to allow for the dissipation of static electricity which tends to accumulate on the anti-reflective film. With the heat shrink band securing the anti-reflective film in place over the display surface over the cathode ray tube, the anti-reflective film is not prone to pealing or separation from the display surface of the cathode ray tube.

  • Patent number: 5856673
Abstract: In a depth dose measuring apparatus, a fluorescent substance block (1) bundling scintillation fibers of which radiation absorption characteristic is close to that of tissue, is disposed orthogonally to the incident direction of radiation (4-1). The fluorescence intensity distribution on the fiber end faces of the fluorescent substance block (1) is measured by an image measuring device (6). Therefore, the two-dimensional fluorescence intensity distribution in the incident direction of radiation and in another orthogonal direction, that is, the absorption dose distribution can be measured simultaneously by one irradiation. Moreover, if the fluorescent substance block (1) is composed by laminating plate-form scintillators, one-dimensional absorption dose distribution in the depth direction can be measured by one operation.
