    Abstract: A motor-operated pump of the in-tank type including a motor for driving the pump, the motor having a commutator; a bracket covering one end of the motor disposed adjacent to the commutator; a brush held against the commutator through a through hole formed in the bracket; and a bearing for supporting a shaft of the motor. An annular projection is formed on a central portion of a surface of bracket disposed in opposed relation to the commutator, and the annular projection is formed integrally with the bracket. Alternatively, an annular projection is formed on a central portion of the commutator disposed in opposed relation to the bearing, and the annular projection is made of an electrically insulating material constituting the commutator, and is formed integrally with the commutator.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method of manufacturing solvent-soluble polyorganosilsesquioxanes of the formula; ##STR1## wherein each R is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl or halogen-substituted alkyl group of 1-5 carbon atoms, or substituted or unsubstituted phenyl of 6-10 carbon atoms, and n is 2-10,000; which comprises reacting an organotriacetoxysilane with a stoichiometric quantity of alcohol and/or water in an organic solvent to obtain a diacetoxymonoalkoxysilane, which is condensation polymerized in the presence of sodium hydrogencarbonate to obtain a prepolymer, which prepolymer is then condensation polymerized by heat in the presence of a catalyst selected from alkali metal hydroxides, alkaline earth metal hydroxides, alkali metal fluorides, alkaline earth metal fluorides and triethylamine.

Different from conventional method of thermal polymerization, the polymerization reaction proceeds very uniformly at a high velocity to give a polymer of a high average molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution.

Tap bolts pressing the external wall of a funnel nearly in the perpendicular direction are so disposed on a deflection yoke mounting member as to be adjacent to the funnel of the color cathode-ray tube. The tap bolts press the funnel to fix the deflection yoke.

    Abstract: A novel silane coupling agent is proposed for the pretreatment of a glass fiber-based or mica flake-based inorganic reinforcing material prior to compounding with an epoxy resin or a polyimide resin as the matrix to give a composite material such as laminates having excellent heat resistance against molten solder alloy and resistance against heat shock. The principal ingredient of the treatment solution is a trialkoxysilylalkyl-substituted polymethylene diamine compound of the general formula (R.sup.1 O).sub.3 SiR.sup.2 NH(CH.sub.2).sub.n NHCH.sub.2 C.sub.6 H.sub.5, in which R.sup.1 is a methyl or ethyl group, R.sup.2 is a diavalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, e.g., methylene and propylene, and n is an integer of 4 to 8, or a hydrochloride thereof. This diamine compound is soluble in water, in particular, acidified with acetic acid and the aqueous solution is advantageously stable in storage as compared with conventional silane coupling agents.
