  • Publication number: 20060163973
Abstract: A plurality of lead-out wires 10 and 11 provided with insulating coating are stacked in a pressure sensitive sensor 1 and are molded in the shape of a cable, and at a distal end portion S the lead-out wire 11 is connected to a central electrode 2 and the lead-out wire 10 to an outer electrode 4. Consequently, if the pressure sensitive sensor 1 is connected to an external circuit 12, and a third resistor 15 is connected between the lead-out wire 10 and the lead-out wire 11 in the external circuit 12, a circuit is formed which is equivalent to a circuit for detecting a disconnection and a short circuit in a conventional pressure sensitive sensor, making it possible detect a disconnection and a short circuit of each electrode. Further, the construction of the leading end portion becomes simple, and a nonsensitive area can also be reduced, so that the detection performance improves.

  • Publication number: 20060054479
Abstract: In a steering wheel, when a driver rotates a rotating section 126 in either direction, a protruding section 1241 bends an elastic member 1218b, and a tip of the elastic member 1218b depresses a button of a switch 1217b. As a result, the switch 1217b outputs a signal. Also, the reaction force produced as soon as the button is depressed causes a force in the reverse direction to be exerted on a hand of the driver. Thus, the driver can sense that the button is depressed.

  • Patent number: 6965405
Abstract: Upon detection of the attachment of a recording medium, an image signal obtained by taking a picture and condition information representing a condition in which the picture is taken are read out from a memory in an image pickup apparatus and recorded on the recording medium. The apparatus is also arranged in such a manner that the condition information recorded on the recording medium may be transferred to the memory. With this arrangement, it becomes possible to process the image signal by using the condition information stored in the memory, even in a situation in which the recording medium is detached. Furthermore, it becomes possible to inherit the condition information even when the recording medium is exchanged.
