  • Patent number: 6271760
Abstract: A human body detector for a seat which does not deteriorate comfort of sitting even when it is disposed on the seat, has a high sensitivity and can be easily fitted to the seat. Vibration detection means (5) is disposed in such a manner that even when a person is seated, the means (5) comes into contact with the bottom surface of a seat pad (16) of a seat (19) and accordingly the person does not feel the means (5). According to this construction, the human body does not easily feel the means (5) by the provision of the seat pad (16), the existence of the vibration detection means (5) is hardly felt even when the hardness and the shape are changed, and various measures for improving the sensitivity of the vibration detection means (5) can be taken. The vibration detection means (5) may be merely bonded to the seat pad (16) or may be fixed to a seat spring (17) or a seat frame (18), and can be fitted more easily to the seat (19) than when it is disposed below a surface cloth (15) of the seat (19).

  • Patent number: 5902255
Abstract: The body movement of a person in a bed or a seat is detected by a piezo-electric element without contacting to the body, and absence or presence in the bed or the seat and rough body movement are judged by detecting the fine body movement propagated by the functioning of heart and breathing of the body, and in case the presence in bed is judged the time measurement operation is started by the timer, and by judging the absence and rough body movement the time measurement is reset. It is judged that the body on the bed or the seat has fallen asleep when the measurement time of the timer exceeds a predetermined set time.

  • Patent number: 5852467
Abstract: An image signal recording apparatus controlling the transfer of image data from temporary memory to non-volatile memory obtains an image of an object, inputs an image signal corresponding to the obtained image, and temporarily stores the input image signal. When it has been detected that an image signal corresponding to a storable capacity of the temporary storage has been input, the subsequent photographing operation is prohibited. It is thereby possible to securely store an image signal corresponding to an obtained image of an object.

  • Patent number: 5633976
Abstract: The present invention is to enable phototaking operation even during the signal transfer from the buffer to the final recording medium. Image pickup device 14 converts the optical image into an electrical signal. A recording process circuit 20 applies a process, such as compression, to the taken image. The image information processed by the circuit 20 is recorded in a rigid disk device 26, through a buffer memory 22 and an interface 28, under the control of a memory control circuit 24. A system control circuit 30 enables the continuous recording operation or the single recording operation, respectively when the remaining capacity of the memory 22 is at least equal to V1, or less than V1. Also the circuit 30 interrupts the continuous recording operation or reduces the rate of the continuous recording, if the remaining capacity of the memory 22 reaches V2 (<V1) in the course of a continuous recording operation. V2 corresponds to a memory capacity of image information of at least an image frame.
