    Abstract: The invention is directed to an ultrasonic inspection method, an ultrasonic test method, and an ultrasonic inspection apparatus that enable sizing to be executed even for a minute defect using an ultrasonic wave. A holder holds a transmitting probe for executing an angle beam method and a receiving probe for executing a vertical beam method. A motor and a guide rail form a movement mechanism for the transmitting probe and the receiving probe. In an ultrasonic test mode, the transmitting probe executes the angle beam method and transmits and receives an ultrasonic wave. In a sizing mode, the transmitting probe transmits an ultrasonic wave and the receiving probe receives this wave. A tip echo of a wave diffracted from a tip of a defect on a sample and a corner echo reflected from a corner of the defect are measured from a waveform received by the receiving probe.

    Abstract: Defective pixels are to be selected so as not to cause image degradation. A defective pixel correction unit 13 in an image processing apparatus 1 obtains an imaging signal a12 from an imaging sensor 16 via a gain adjustment unit 12, and calculates an absolute value for the pixel value difference between a pixel to be tested for a defect of the imaging sensor 16 and each of its surrounding pixels, respectively. Next, the defective pixel correction unit 13 compares the differential with a defective pixel determination threshold value and determines the pixel being tested as defective, if the differential is greater than the threshold value. It should be noted that the threshold value is changed according to the magnitude of an image transition, by detecting the image transition of a video signal a14 in an image transition detection unit 15.

    Abstract: In a radio communication system where a base station provides blank time slots to avoid inter-cell interference, a decrease in throughput by an excess or shortage of blank time slots is prevented. This invention relates to a radio system that avoids interference in cooperation between base stations by providing blank time slots by a (first) base station. Other (second) base stations detect the number of served terminals affected by interference from the first base station that sets blank time slots, calculate required blank time slots so that the number of required blank time slots will increase with an increase in the number of terminals located in cell edges, and send a notification of the required blank time slots to the first base station. The first base station determines whether system throughput is anticipated to improve, based on the above notifications, and adjusts the length of blank time slots.
