    Abstract: A fuse module with an indicating capability allows a plug having pins to be inserted therein. The fuse module includes a casing, an electrical conductive terminal, an insulator and a light-emitting unit. The bottom of the casing is provided with through holes. The electrical conductive terminal is received in the casing. The electrical conductive terminal includes conductive pieces for allowing the pins to be inserted therein and a connecting arm for connecting the conductive pieces. The conductive pieces are arranged to correspond to the through holes. The insulator is fixed to the connecting arm. The light-emitting unit is provided between the insulator and the casing and is electrically connected with the conductive pieces. When the current is overloaded, the connecting arm will be melted to break, so that the light-emitting unit will be lighted up to generate an indicating effect.

    Abstract: A surface mount light emitting device includes a substrate, a chip set, a wire set and an encapsulator. The substrate includes a base plate with four corners and four electrode layers arranged on the corners, each electrode layer has a top electrode extended to the top surface of the base plate, a bottom electrode extended to the bottom surface of the base plate and a trace extended toward the center of the top surface of the base plate. The chip set includes two resistor chips and two light emitting chips, the resistor chips arranged on two of the traces extended from two diagonal corners, the light emitting chips respectively arranged on the other two traces extended from the other two diagonal corners. The wire set includes two fuse wires electrically connected the resistor chips to the light emitting chips. The encapsulator is encapsulating the chip set and the wire set.

    Abstract: A fuse capable of indicating whether the fuse is blown or not includes a fuse body formed therein with an accommodating space. The accommodating space is provided with two electrical-conductive terminals connected to each other via a metallic fuse. A light-emitting diode is inserted into the accommodating hole of the fuse body, thereby electrically connecting two electrodes of the light-emitting diode to the two electrical-conductive terminals. Via the above arrangement, the light-emitting diode can be lighted up when the fuse body is blown.

    Abstract: A fuse seat with prompting function is to provide a fuse plugged therein conductively. The fuse seat includes an insulating body, two electricity-conducting pieces, two electric wires and a light-emitting unit. The fuse is plugged into the accommodating space and is connected conductively to the electricity-conducting pieces. One side of each electric wire is respectively connected to the electricity-conducting pieces electrically and is extended out of the insulating body. The light-emitting unit is embedded fixedly in the insulating body, accommodated in the through trough and connected electrically to the electricity-conducting pieces respectively. When an overload occurs the light-emitting unit generates prompting light for the purpose of identification.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an RFID Tag and Antenna for use with an RFID tag and a method of radio frequency identification (RFID). The RFID Tag comprises a RFID chip 5 for storing data, an antenna 6 and an electromagnetic band gap substrate 12. The RFID chip 5 and the antenna 6 are mounted above the electromagnetic band gap substrate 12. The electromagnetic band gap substrate has a reflection phase which is different from 180° at the operation frequency of the antenna. The electromagnetic band gap substrate enables the RFID to operate even if it is mounted on a conductive object, as the reflection phase is not 180° so it does not destructively interfere with the radiation from the antenna at the operating frequency. Preferably the reflection phase is between 340° and 115° or ?95° and 145°. The preferred embodiment uses a band gap substrate having two mushroom-like conductive layers 3, 7 with a dielectric in between.

    Abstract: A turbo-guiding type cooling apparatus includes a reverse fixed blade unit interposed between the wind exit surface of the fan and the heat sink. The rotation direction of the reverse fixed blade unit is opposite to that of the fan. A receiving chamber is formed under the shaft of the reverse fixed blade unit, and the receiving chamber has at least one-third height of the reverse fixed blade unit. A separation portion extending into the receiving chamber is formed at the center of the top of at least one part of the heat sink. The reverse fixed blade unit includes a reduction cover inward tapered at the periphery of the wind outlet thereof. The height (h1) of the periphery of the reduction cover is the same to or greater than the height (h2) of the periphery of the wind outlet of the reverse fixed blade unit, thereby forming a ring-shaped enclosing type. Therefore, the wind will be smoothly concentrated and the flow direction will be changed.

    Abstract: A non-pervasive modification to radio frequency identification (RFID) tag antennas is provided that can double the tag's reading range distance. Parasitic elements, such as a reflector and one or more directors, are added at appropriate separations to form a Yagi antenna. As a result, the antenna's gain is increased and consequently so is the RFID tag's reading range. The tag antenna's gain can be achieved without directly connecting to or modifying the existing RFID tag. However, since directionality is increased, multiple RFID tags can be attached to an object so that the tagged object can be read from multiple directions.
