Abstract: In an environment including a first service providing system and a second service providing system, the first service providing system forwards common authentication information received from a terminal to the second service providing system to perform authentication when the terminal that is located in a service provision area of the first service providing system and has requested connection is a visiting user. The first service providing system makes a connection request to the second service providing system based on the authentication result that is provided from the second service providing system based on the common authentication information. The second service providing system provides the communication service to the terminal by using the resources of the first service providing system.

Abstract: A high-speed double or quadrature data rate interface semiconductor device and a method thereof are provided. A transmitter (e.g., a data transmitting semiconductor device) for high-speed data transmission transmits a first strobe signal and a second strobe signal, which have a phase difference of 90 degrees there-between, a first group (byte of) data, and a second group (byte of) data. The transmitter adjusts the phase of at least one of the first and second strobe signals based on phase-error information fed back from a receiver and then transmits the phase-adjusted strobe signal to the receiver. The receiver receives the first and second strobe signals from the transmitter and receives the first group (byte of) data and the second group (byte of) data using the first and second strobe signals. The receiver does not require a phase-locked loop (PLL) or a delay-locked loop (DLL), thereby decreasing the circuit area and power consumption of the receiver.

Abstract: Provided are a fast channel change apparatus based on multiple multicasts communication in an IPTV network, and a method thereof. In the fast channel change system, after separately generating at least one multicast stream obtained by applying different time delays respectively to original multicast stream to be broadcast, a channel server dynamically analyzes information regarding the at least one multicast stream. After querying the channel server for information regarding an optimal multicast stream and receiving the response to the query, a user terminal joins a multicast group on the optimal multicast stream through a router. After a predetermined time is elapsed, the user terminal joins a multicast group of the original multicast stream. Thus, it is possible to easily and inexpensively embody a fast channel change function network based on multiple multicasts communication in an IPTV network.
