Abstract: A light emitting device includes: a substrate having opposed first and second main faces; a light emitting element mounted on the first main face of the substrate; and a driver integrated circuit (IC) formed in an area corresponding to a lower side of the light emitting element within the substrate, and adjusting the amount of current applied to the light emitting element. Since the circuit provided to drive a light emitting diode (LED) is integrated within the substrate, a compact light emitting device having an integrated structure can be obtained.

Abstract: A bottom-up (or upward) multilayer network recovery method and apparatus based on a root-cause analysis are disclosed to quickly and accurately perform a recovery operation. The bottom-up multilayer network recovery method based on a root-cause analysis includes: simultaneously counting, by a fault detection layer, a root-cause analysis (RA) time and a hold-off (HO) time, upon detecting an occurrence of a fault; performing, by the fault detection layer, a root-cause analysis during the RA time to recognize a layer in which a root-cause has occurred; when the root-cause has occurred in the fault detection layer, immediately recovering the fault by the fault detection layer, and when a root-cause has occurrence in a lower layer, waiting for the HO time until such time as the lower layer can recover the fault; and when the fault has not been recovered even after the HO time has lapsed, recovering the fault by the fault detection layer.

Abstract: An open access node receives a dynamic IP address corresponding to a terminal that requests a connection from a specific server, and provides the dynamic IP address to the terminal. Next, the open access node receives a service that is requested by a user from the terminal that is connected using the dynamic IP address, and stores a MAC address of the terminal and a service in a database. When the terminal again requests a connection, the open access node identifies a service that is requested by a user of the terminal based on the MAC address of the terminal.

Abstract: A virtual local area network (LAN) control system for controlling at least one virtual LAN through a network accessed by a plurality of terminals includes a terminal, a virtual LAN switch, and a virtual LAN controller. The terminal has a proper identifier address to access the network, or receives a proper identifier address through an external device connected to the virtual LAN switch. The virtual LAN switch sets and provides at least one virtual LAN through the network. When the terminal accesses the virtual LAN controller to request to change the configuration of the virtual LAN, the virtual LAN controller assigns authority to change the virtual LAN to the terminal so as to change from the virtual LAN to which the terminal belongs to another virtual LAN.

Abstract: A subscriber terminal-based personalized broadcast service system and method are provided. The subscriber terminal-based personalized broadcast service method includes receiving broadcast program schedule information from a broadcast head-end and receiving content schedule information from at least one content server; creating a personalized channel schedule in which a plurality of broadcast programs and a plurality of contents are arranged according to time with reference to the broadcast program schedule information and the content schedule information; and receiving a broadcast program or a content requested with reference to the personalized channel schedule from the broadcast head-end or the content server. Therefore, it is possible for a subscriber to view various broadcast programs and contents at any desired time.

The TED management method includes reserving resource information in the TED based on a path transmitted from a path control function of a control plane or from a path control function of a management plane, and updating the TED based on a result of a path control process, the result indicating ‘success’ or ‘failure’ and being transmitted from the path control function of the control plane or from the path control function of the management plane.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a stent for prostatic urethra expansion which does not generate bladder stones, is removable without causing injury on a urethra, and does not generate atrophy of a prostatic urethra even after removal. The stent for prostatic urethra expansion include a stent unit including a cylindrical body with space parts formed by knotting or crossing shape memory alloy wires and bending terminals formed at both ends of the cylindrical body, a pair of hook wires passing through the space parts and knotted to the shape memory alloy wires, both ends thereof being wound on the bending terminals and then being bent upwardly to produce hooks, and a pair of hanging strings arranged in opposite directions to form a hanging knot. The stent for prostatic urethra expansion does not move into the bladder, and expands and maintains a lumen of the stenosed prostatic urethra, thereby reducing post-operative recovery time.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus of controlling a Label Switched Path (LSP) of a Resource Reservation Protocol-Traffic Engineering (RSVP-TE) protocol, which may define an available label in an End-to-End range when a label is not changed by transit nodes, and is determined only by an external management system or a manager, or an ingress node or an egress node, thereby more simply and effectively operating the RSVP-TE protocol, and removing limitations in functions of nodes such as path calculating.

Abstract: A control system and method for reducing the amount of power consumption of a communication network is provided. The amount of traffic usage and power consumption of communication equipment in the communication network is collected and energy efficiency of the communication equipment is calculated. An operation of the communication equipment and a communication path or routing of the communication network are controlled according to the calculated energy efficiency. Therefore, an operation of unnecessary communication equipment is controlled, thereby reducing the power consumption of the communication network.

In this case, if a communication device that is not included in a routing path exists, the first communication device notifies a corresponding communication device to operate in a power saving mode, operates to decrease power use that is related to the corresponding communication device, and the communication device, having received the notification operates in a power saving mode.

The first service providing system makes a connection request to the second service providing system based on the authentication result that is provided from the second service providing system based on the common authentication information. The second service providing system provides the communication service to the terminal by using the resources of the first service providing system.
