Abstract: The present application relates to the design of a class of beauty products that facilitates personalized replenishment. The physical product is a new type of case comprising one or two sides or chambers, where each chamber retains a cartridge of a specific type of product, such as a foundation. For example, in an embodiment where the case of the present invention comprises a single chamber product, the cartridge may contain a single type of foundation. In an embodiment where the present invention comprises a case capable of retaining two cartridges, or comprises two product chambers, one cartridge may hold a relatively lightweight foundation, and the other may hold a long-wear foundation.

Abstract: A cosmetic holder or case having a base with receptacles for cosmetics and a cover connected in a hinged fashion to permit opening and closing of the cover to alternately reveal and conceal the interior of the base and the housed cosmetic product. The interior of the cover may include a mirror to aid in applying the cosmetic product. The holder is combined with a set of adornment features such as sets of decals having different theme or pattern to allow consumers to 1) select a set of adornment appealing to them, 2) select a base color theme appealing to them, 3) to arrange a set of adornment elements in a personalized and unique manner. The cover includes a removable transparent panel that 1) allows the user to apply the selected set of adornment features and/or to include other personalized items and 2) protects the adornment features from damage during use.

Abstract: A geothermal heat mining system can operate within a single primary borehole in a geothermal reservoir. A primary fluid loop can include a cold working fluid line leading into the primary borehole and a hot working fluid line coming out of the primary borehole. A secondary fluid loop can be located down the primary borehole, where the secondary fluid loop is in thermal contact with the geothermal reservoir and is entirely subsurface. A downhole heat mining device can control a rate of heat transfer from the secondary fluid loop to the primary fluid loop by selectively controlling fluid flow through the primary fluid loop, the secondary fluid loop, or both.

Abstract: A method of modulating a series of input digital symbols of a first modulation scheme is provided. The method is implemented by a transmitter and includes receiving a sequential series of samples of the digital symbols in a first domain of the first modulation scheme. The first domain is one of the time domain and the frequency domain. The method further includes determining a dual of the first modulation scheme. The dual has a second modulation scheme in a second domain that is different from the first domain the second domain is the other of the time domain and the frequency domain. The method further includes applying a 90 degree rotational operation to the second modulation scheme to generate a rotational modulation format, modulating the series of digital symbols with the generated rotational modulation format, and outputting the modulated series of digital symbols to a receiver.

Vehicles move in mode 1 on the roads using road wheels that roll over pavement. Vehicles in mode 2 move on the monorails and are supported by rail wheels in contact with a top of a monorail. In mode 2, the vehicle is supported by side cylinders that stabilize the vehicle on the monorail. Vehicles move in mode 3 with support from both roads and monorails simultaneously. Monorail mount locations simplify the vehicle's transition between modes. Pivoting or other mechanisms for road wheels, rail wheels, or side cylinders facilitate vehicle design. The vehicle can optionally be connected to the Internet, and be part of a traffic control system or operate autonomously. Small scale models or computer models of these vehicle can be used as toys, for product development, prototyping, animation, competitive games, entertainment, or for education.

An assemblage, comprising the head, the skewed shim shaft adapter, and the elemental shaft adapter, provides a technician a choice between a skewed shim shaft adapter and head assembly comprising the head and the skewed shim shaft adapter, or an elemental shaft adapter and head assembly comprising the head and the elemental shaft adapter. Abstract: Compounds that inhibit mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) are disclosed. Some inhibitor compounds specifically target a single MAPK such as MAPK13, while others target multiple MAPKs such as MAPK13 and MAPK12. The compounds can be used therapeutically for a variety of diseases, including cancer and respiratory diseases. Methods of synthesis of the compounds are also disclosed.

The echo cancellation may optionally be performed with an echo canceller included as part of or otherwise associated with an FDX node used to facilitate interfacing signaling between a digital domain and an analog domain of a FDX or other communication network.

Abstract: A week killing device where weeds or other undesirable vegetation are killed by radio frequency (RF) energy applied directly to the weed by a probe inserted into or near the weed. The probe is comprised of a center pin, which is electrically hot, surrounded by periphery pins which are grounded. A reflection measuring circuit makes an impedance measurement of the probe in the ground and a matching circuit is adjusted to make an impedance match. Next a RF generator applies RF energy through the matching circuit into the probe. Energy delivery is monitored to insure weed kill by thermal heating. The probe can be manually applied by a person or applied by an autonomous vehicle using computer vision (CV) and artificial intelligence (AI) to identify weeds and avoid row crops. The weed killing device may apply power to the above-ground portion a of a weed with the root providing a ground return. The weed killing device may be towed and apply RF energy when a weed is detected by the impedance measurement circuit.

A system may include at least one processor configured to maintain a table having a plurality of rows and columns, receive a first customized access permission that regulates access to information in a particular column, and receive a second customized access permission that regulates access to information in a particular row. The processor may regulate an ability to access information in a particular cell of the table when the particular cell is in at least one of the particular column or the particular row, and output a signal to display the table with the particular cell regulated.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for generating a plurality of network addresses for a plurality of communication devices communicating over a network. One method includes receiving, with an electronic processor included in a server, geographical coordinates of the network, generating, with the electronic processor, a first set of bits based on the geographical coordinates, generating, with the electronic processor, a second set of bits based on a random number, and generating, with the electronic processor, a baseline address including the first set of bits and the second set of bits. The method also includes generating the plurality of network addresses, wherein each of the plurality of network addresses includes the baseline address and a unique offset. In addition, the method includes assigning one of the plurality of network addresses to one of the plurality of communication devices.
