Abstract: A method implemented by a network controller, comprising receiving an address filter from a service chain orchestrator, wherein the address filter comprises a plurality of service instance (SI) addresses associated with a plurality of SIs in a network, obtaining network topology information from a plurality of service function (SF) forwarders controlled by the network controller, wherein the network topology information indicates a plurality of network devices communicatively coupled to the plurality of controlled SF forwarders, and wherein at least some of the network devices are SI hosting devices, and generating a service chain topology map by building mappings between at least some of the plurality of controlled SF forwarders, the SI hosting devices, and the plurality of SIs according to the network topology information and the address filter.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for drafting spun yarns in three stages. The method comprises drafting fiber strips to obtain fiber strands in the first-stage draft zone, drafting fiber strands to obtain non-discrete fiber bands without twist distribution in the second-stage draft zone, and drafting fiber bands to obtain twist less fiber assemblies in the third-stage draft zone. The methods optimize the maximum total draft ratio to obtain twist less fiber assemblies while maintaining evenness and required quality of resultant yarns.

Abstract: A method for service function chaining across subnetworks includes receiving a packet at a virtual switch integration bridge from a first service function (SF) that is in a service function chain (SFC) and that is on a first subnetwork, determining a next SF in the SFC in a different subnetwork, and sending the received packet directly from the virtual switch integration bridge to the next SF.

Abstract: A charging device for an internal combustion engine, having an exhaust turbocharger and a recuperation-charger having a compressor-turbine and an electromechanical motor-generator coupled thereto. The high-pressure side of the compressor-turbine is connectable, by a valve arrangement, to the outside air supply line before the exhaust turbocharger on one side and on the other side, to the charge air supply line after the exhaust turbocharger. Outside air can be suctioned or charge air blasted via the low-pressure side of the compressor-turbine. The recuperation-charger is switched, by the valve arrangement and the motor-generator, between a standard mode, an amplifier mode and a recuperation mode, wherein the recuperation-charger operates on one side in the amplifier mode, driven by the motor-generator, as a compressor for pressure increase in the outside air supply line or, on another side, driven by the charge air flow, acts as a turbine for energy recovery by the motor-generator.

The method sends the data packet to the service appliance via a logical port that corresponds to the data packet's chain ID. The method includes receiving the data packet back from the service appliance via the logical port. Lastly, the method includes restoring the chain header in the data packet based upon the logical port through which the data packet is received.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a co-aperture broadband infrared optical system, belonging to the field of infrared optical system. The system realizes long wave infrared (LWIR) imaging and broadband infrared spectrum measurement, and solves the problems of limited optical path layout, large volume and high cost of an optical system. The present invention includes a Cassegrain lens, a spectroscope, a reflector, several lens groups, an FPA interface and an optical fiber interface. Light (2 ?m˜12 ?m) is incident to the Cassegrain lens to be focused, then is split by the spectroscope, where 50% of the LWIR light (8 ?m˜10 ?m) passes through the lens group for aberration correction, and the image plane is focused again at the imaging interface. The other 50% of the LWIR light (8 ?m˜10 ?m) and the infrared reflected light (2 ?m˜8 ?m and 10 ?m˜12 ?m) pass through the lens group, and are reflected by the reflector, then focused at the optical fiber interface.

Abstract: A system and method for translating data from a source language to a target language is provided wherein machine generated target translation of a source sentence is compared to a database of human generated target sentences. If a matching human generated target sentence is found, the human generated target sentence may be used instead of the machine generated sentence, since the human generated target sentence is more likely to be a well-formed sentence than the machine generated sentence. The system and method does not rely on a translation memory containing pairs of sentences in both source and target languages, and minimizes the reliance on a human translator to correct a translation generated by machine translation.
