  • Publication number: 20130303361
Abstract: Silicon-aluminum mixed oxide powder having a weight ratio of (Al2O3/SiO2)ttl in the total primary particle of from 0.003 to 0.05, a weight ratio (Al2O3/SiO2)surface of the primary particles in a surface layer having a thickness of about 5 nm which is less than in the total primary particle and a BET surface area of from 50 to 250 m2/g. It is prepared by igniting one or more silicon compounds selected from the group consisting of CH3SiCl3, (CH3)2SiCl2, (CH3)3SiCl and (n-C3H7)SiCl3, a hydrolysable and oxidizable aluminum compound, at least one fuel gas and air and burning the flame into a reaction chamber, subsequently separating the solid from gaseous materials and subsequently treating the solid with water vapor. The silicon-aluminum mixed oxide powder can be used as catalyst.

  • Publication number: 20130178657
Abstract: The problem addressed by the present invention is that of specifying a process for producing aldehydes which, compared with conventional hydroformylation, cuts CO2, which utilises alternative sources of raw materials, and which has no need for a step of providing carbon monoxide. This problem is solved by processes comprising the following steps: a) providing at least one alkane; b) photocatalytically dehydrogenating the alkane to a mixture comprising at least one olefin and hydrogen; c) adding carbon dioxide and hydrogen to the mixture; d) hydroformylating the olefin to at least one aldehyde. More particularly, n-butane is initially dehydrogenated photocatalytically and the resulting 1-butene is reacted with CO2 in a hydroformylation to form valeraldehyde.

  • Patent number: 8352510
Abstract: One or more data items of one or more types are received, wherein each data item is associated with one or more attributes, and wherein each attribute is associated with an attribute name and an attribute value. A key is calculated for each attribute, and a determination as to whether the key is located in a dictionary is made. The key is added to the dictionary based on the determination along with an attribute description, and a determination of a number of occurrences of one of the one or more items to the number of all the one or more items in a set is made. Based on this number of occurrences attributes are classified as either mandatory, expected or optional in the generated template for the corresponding info item type.

  • Patent number: 8348140
Abstract: The invention relates to a clip file, comprising a clip body with a front and a rear clip jaw (5) made from sheet steel, wherein both clip jaws (5) are connected by means of a yoke and the rear clip jaw rests against a rear wall of a rear cover of the file, while the front clip jaw (5) presses against a section of a multiply folded strip (2), provided with a window (4), formed from the longitudinal edge of the rear cover folded towards the front of the file and the strip (2) forms a stop which cooperates with a counter stop formed from an edge of the front clip jaw (5) folded inwards. According to the invention, the clip body may be provided with a defined grip point by means of a projection embossed in the center of at least the front clip jaw, the apex of which faces the yoke of the clip body.

  • Publication number: 20120169772
Abstract: In a system and a method, a first user input corresponding to a first graphical shape having first boundaries, a first size, and a first position is received on an initial virtual whiteboard having an infinite drawing area and occupying a display area of a user interface. In response to a first command, the first graphical shape is designated as a current virtual whiteboard by resizing the first graphical shape from the first size to a second size, with the second size being equal to the display area of the user interface, and with the first graphical shape having the first boundaries removed to effect an infinite drawing area within the first graphical shape. A second user input corresponding to a second graphical shape is received within the first graphical shape designated as the current virtual whiteboard.

  • Publication number: 20120144326
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method is provided for organizing semi-structured data. In this method, the semi-structured data that have properties are accessed and rendered on a graphical user interface. A user input defining a first graphical layout of a first number of the semi-structured data is received. A second number of the semi-structured data is identified as having properties similar to the properties of the first number of the semi-structured data. A second graphical layout of the identified second number of the semi-structured data is then rearranged to match the first graphical layout.

  • Publication number: 20120113015
Abstract: Improved multi-input gesture control for a display screen is enabled by using a first screen input to determine control operations that result from a second screen input that is followed by a gesture. A gesture that corresponds to a path traced on a display screen may define a new screen input or manipulate existing screen objects depending on some specific feature of the path or the entirety of the path.

  • Publication number: 20120110519
Abstract: In an embodiment, a user input defining an enclosed, graphical shape on a video display is received. A number of graphical items are identified as being included within the enclosed, graphical shape. Here, each graphical item is displayed on the video display and represents a data object that has a number of properties. A property is extracted from the number of properties that the data objects have in common based on the identification. A number of other manipulation techniques are also described.

  • Patent number: 8051091
Abstract: A first request to access a first set of items is received, wherein each item is associated with one or more properties. A second request to access a second set of items is also received. A determination is made as to whether items from the first set are in the second set of items, and the sets are divided into one or more subsets based on the determining. Each of the one or more subsets is assigned to a respective thread, and the respective thread of the subset that does not contain items in the second request is processed. This way, individual subsets (i.e. data partitions) can be processed by multiple threads in parallel without having to synchronize them.
