A framework allows for observing and storing information regarding the relatedness of a component to another component. The framework can provide context changes and component modifications based at least in part on the observed relatedness information for use in development and/or execution of developed applications and processes.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a catalyst for the manufacture of methyl mercaptan from carbon oxides comprising Mo and K compounds and oxides or sulfides of metals chosen from the manganese group. The improvement of the present process consists of the fact that carbon dioxide can be converted with higher conversions and selectivities to methyl mercaptan as compared to state-of-the-art technologies, with only minor amounts of carbon monoxide being formed as side product. Simultaneously, carbon monoxide can be easily converted into carbon dioxide and hydrogen by reaction with water using established water-gas-shift-technologies thus increasing the overall selectivity to methyl mercaptan.

Abstract: A visualization graph is provided on a computer by storing data corresponding to a plurality of entities having a particular type, wherein a semantic net includes the entities and wherein the entities are linked to each other by a plurality of relations. The visualization graph is provided in response to a query with respect to an entity selected from the plurality of entities, wherein the visualization graph includes a plurality of sectors representing the results of the query. Entities are allocated to a predetermined sector of the graph depending on their entity type.

Abstract: Among other disclosed subject matter, a computer program product is tangibly embodied in a computer-readable storage medium and includes instructions that when executed by a processor perform a method for recording information about an item. The method includes assigning a unique identifier to an item in a repository, the item supporting versioning and being subject to a data model having no predefined schema for items. The method includes associating a first attribute with the unique identifier, the first attribute being part of the item and being configured for modification. The method includes associating the first attribute with a version number, wherein the versioning is supported without recording in the repository a time period when the first attribute is valid.

The application manager includes an input for receiving an input defining an event in which a user is involved in the application or an input defining an event involving a manipulation of at least one entity in the database resource. A context is associated with the event and is represented by a set of references to the entities stored in the database resource. The application manager includes a situation representation manager for determining a situation representation that defines a subcontext. The situation representation manager identifies a subset of references to a plurality of entities that are relevant to the event. The application manager adapts the behavior of the application to a situation or a future situation on the basis of the situation representation.

The inlet and outlet can be switched so that an exit previously serving as the outlet is utilized as an entrance serving as the inlet and at the same time an entrance previously serving as the inlet is utilized as an exit serving as the outlet. The inlet and outlet each include a filter element that keeps the catalyst in the reactor. The reactor also includes a device that ensures homogeneous distribution of the catalyst and the starting materials in the reactor. This reactor can carry out reactions at a high solids content without the catalyst having to be separated off from a product stream in an extra process step and without regular cleaning and thus shutdown of the process being necessary.
