  • Publication number: 20050051866
Abstract: A method is described for forming three or more spacer widths in transistor regions on a substrate. In one embodiment, different silicon nitride thicknesses are formed above gate electrodes followed by nitride etching to form spacers. Optionally, different gate electrode thicknesses may be fabricated and a conformal oxide layer is deposited which is subsequently etched to form different oxide spacer widths. A third embodiment involves a combination of different gate electrode thickness and different nitride thicknesses. A fourth embodiment involves selectively thinning an oxide layer over certain gate electrodes before etching to form spacers. Therefore, spacer widths can be independently optimized for different transistor regions on a substrate to enable better drive current in transistors with narrow spacers and improved SCE control in neighboring transistors with wider spacers. Better drive current is also obtained in transistors with shorter polysilicon thickness.

  • Patent number: 6356216
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and device for processing servo error signals using a programmable circular linked list to minimize latency. The servo error signals are associated with servo channels. A plurality of data entries are stored in a circular linked list for processing a plurality of servo error signals with one data entry for each servo error channel. Each data entry includes a set of data for processing an associated servo error signal and each set of data includes a time interval that specifies a duration required for processing the associated servo error signal in a digital data format. The time required for converting an analog signal into the digital data format is determined and stored as an ADC conversion time. Then, a data entry is accessed from the circular linked list for processing a servo error signal associated with the data entry. Within the ADC conversion time, the servo error signal is converted into digital data.

  • Patent number: 5276556
Abstract: A color separation system is disclosed consisted of a mounting frame, a color filter assembly, and a step motor controlled to move the color filter assembly back and forth in a channel. The color filter assembly is consisted of a filter holder frame, a cover frame fastened to the filter holder frame through doweled joints, a series of color filter lenses retained in windows between the filter holder frame and the cover frame, a rack meshed with a gear on the output shaft of the step motor, and top and bottom projecting rods respectively inserted in top and bottom guide slots on the mounting frame.

  • Patent number: 5008784
Abstract: A lighting equipment includes a cylindrical tube having a profile formed in a bottom. The profile has a pair of lower grooves and a pair of higher grooves. A barrel, a spring, a cell and a braket are received in the cylindrical tube. A rod is coupled to the bracket. A pin is laterally provided on the rod. The pin is actuated to follow the profile so that the pin is laid in either the upper grooves or the lower grooves. A center electrode of the cell is actuated either to contact or to be separated from a prong of a light bulb in order to turn on or turn off the light bulb.

  • Patent number: 4951183
Abstract: A flashlight includes a tube with a head provided at a front end. A light reflector is disposed in a front end of the head. A casing is force-fitted within the front end of the tube. A switch is fixed on the casing. An end cap, a spring and an end plate are disposed in an insulator which is received in a retainer. A light bulb is retained in the retainer. The switcher controls an electrical circuit of the flashlight. The light bulb is stable relative to the tube so that a rotation of the head relative to the tube makes the light reflector move relative to the light bulb.

  • Patent number: 4939628
Abstract: A switch mechanism for a flashlight is disposed in an end cap on a rear end of the flashlight. The switch mechanism includes a plunger cylinder fitted within the end cap, an annular ring being force-fitted on a front end of the plunger cylinder, a guide with a number of guide blocks and a cam surface being slidable in the plunger cylinder, a plunger with a number of ribs and a cam surface being slidable in the guide, a contact element passing through the annular ring, and a spring being biased between a rearmost battery and the contact element. The contact element is pushed to overcome a biasing force of the spring and is contactable with the annular ring by depressing the guide.
