    Abstract: A method for making a semiconductor device may include forming shallow trench isolation (STI) regions in a semiconductor substrate defining an active region therebetween in the semiconductor substrate and a pad oxide on the active region. The method may further include removing at least some of the pad oxide, cleaning the active region to expose an upper surface thereof and define rounded shoulders of the active region adjacent the STI regions having an interior angle of at least 125°, and forming a superlattice on the active region. The superlattice may include a plurality of stacked groups of layers, each group of layers including a plurality of stacked base semiconductor monolayers defining a base semiconductor portion, and at least one non-semiconductor monolayer constrained within a crystal lattice of adjacent base semiconductor portions. The method may further include forming a semiconductor circuit including the superlattice.

The running unit includes a driving roller and a running belt for a runner to stand and run thereon. The detection unit includes a sensor for detecting whether the runner exists at a predefined height on the running belt. The detection unit can be moved to change the predefined height. A safety monitoring function for a treadmill includes adjusting a height of the sensor, detecting whether the runner exists at the predefined height above the running belt, and generating a first monitoring output. Through detecting whether the runner exists at the predefined height, it determines whether the driving roller can be driven by the driving unit to prevent accidental activation by a child. Since the detection unit can be moved to change the predefined height, it allows the use by runners of different body shapes.

    Abstract: A treadmill with a safety warning function includes a miming unit, a driving unit, a detection unit and a control unit. The running unit includes a driving roller and a running belt provided for a runner to stand thereon. The detection unit includes a camera arranged at a predefined height range on top of the running belt for photographing images. The control unit determines a height of the runner based on the images photographed. The safety monitoring method for the treadmill includes obtaining an image above the running belt and determining whether the height of the runner is greater than the predefined height. By determining whether the height of the runner is greater than the predefined height, it is able to determine whether the driving roller can be driven by the driving unit to rotate, thereby preventing the hazard of accidental activation by a child of insufficient height.

The firmware interface engine receives a protocol pointer from the protocol consumer driver, and identifies that the protocol pointer was provided by the protocol producer driver. If the firmware interface engine determines that the protocol pointer is not stored in the first memory range on the primary memory system, it generates a protocol security violation. If the firmware interface engine determines that the protocol pointer is stored in the first memory range on the primary memory system and points to an architectural protocol, it determines whether the protocol producer driver originated from a secondary memory system and, if not, generates a protocol security violation.

For example, the original video data may be compressed and then decompressed, and this result may be compared to the original video data to determine the residual video data. This residual video data is transformed into a smaller format by means of encoding, binarizing, and compressing, and is sent to a destination. At the destination, the residual video data is transformed back into its original format and is used during the decompression of the compressed original video data to improve a quality of the decompressed original video data.
