  • Publication number: 20050253580
Abstract: The subject invention pertains to a method for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) involving the acquisition of pseudo-polar K-space data and creation of an MRI image from the pseudo-polar K-space data. In an embodiment, the subject method can incorporate a scan scheme for acquiring pseudo-polar K-space data and corresponding reconstruction technique. Advantageously, the subject method can result in reduced motion artifact in dynamic MRI with short acquisition time and short reconstruction time. In a specific embodiment, the subject method can incorporate a reconstruction method utilizing Fractional FFT in MRI. The subject method can allow the acquisition of pseudo-polar K-space data. In a specific embodiment, the acquisition of the pseudo-polar is accomplished by one shot. Other acquisition techniques can also be utilized in accordance with the subject invention.

  • Publication number: 20050110490
Abstract: The subject invention relates to a method and apparatus for producing stimulated MRI data. In an embodiment, a remote-controlled “smart phantom” can produce simulated data. The simulated data can be acquired from a MRI system. The subject device can generate control signals and send the generated control signals to secondary coils/probes placed in the subject smart phantom. The control signals determine the current flow in the secondary coils/probes, which act as local spin magnetization amplifiers and thus produce regions of variable contrast to noise ratio. The control signals can be generated with various parameters, such as BOLD models, different levels of contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), signal intensities, and physiological signals. Comparisons can be made with the widely-used simulated data by computers. Validation of the subject smart phantom can be performed with both theoretical analysis and data of human subjects.

  • Publication number: 20030095902
Abstract: A photocatalytic electric fan comprises a main body having a receiving tank therein. A motor is fixed in the receiving tank. A rotation shaft of the motor is connected with a fan blade. A lamp-fixing element is joined at an opening of the main body near the fan blade. A photocatalytic lamp is positioned on the lamp-fixing element. At least a photocatalytic lamp tube is disposed on the lamp. Each photocatalytic lamp tube is connected to an electric connection seat, a stabilizer, a starter, a switch, and a power source. A face net is joined at the other opening of the main body. The face net is rotatable. The photocatalytic lamp tube is a UV lamp tube with a glass-fiber-cloth sleeved outside. The glass-fiber-cloth has a photocatalytic coating formed of titanium dioxide.

  • Publication number: 20030066221
Abstract: An advertising and display lamp box with optical catalyst waste gas treatment, including a lamp box main unit, an imaging panel, a waste gas treatment ultraviolet (UV) lamp and a compulsory convection device. On the lamp box main unit are air inlets and air outlets. A panel made of transparent or see-through plastic or glass material is installed at the front of the lamp box, presenting transparent or see-through advertising pictures or media materials that need backlight display. The waste gas treatment UV lamp is installed inside the lamp box main unit. . The compulsory convection device is installed on the lamp box main unit, for drawing outside air through the air inlets into the lamp box main unit. Air flows through the waste gas treatment UV lamp out of the air outlets.

  • Patent number: 5918702
Abstract: A grease gun device includes a cock body having a piston cylinder and a slot joint. The piston cylinder also includes a seal washer opening and an outlet opening spatially disposed from the seal washer opening. A piston is reciprocatingly engaged in the piston cylinder for moving grease from the slot joint to the outlet opening, wherein a valve mechanism selectively allows grease from the piston cylinder to pass through the outlet opening. A grease supply barrel having a grease opening is engaged with the cock body to supply grease to the piston cylinder, and a sealed piston closes the other end of the grease supply barrel. A jacket is mounted about the grease barrel and connected with the cock body, wherein the diameter of an outermost periphery of the grease barrel is less than an inside diameter of the jacket, such that the grease barrel does not overlap the jacket. A rear cover engages the far end of the jacket.

  • Patent number: 5881614
Abstract: A tool having a handle and including a sleeve and a spring is provided which is simple and cost effective to manufacture. The sleeve is provided with a slot and the spring is positioned so that a portion of the spring extends through the slot. The sleeve is positioned in a bore in the handle. A removable, reversible bit is held in the handle by the sleeve and the spring. The spring applies sufficient force to the bit to retain the bit within the handle. The sleeve also prevents the bit from rotating relative to the handle. The bit may be removed from the handle by pulling the bit away from the handle. The same end of the bit, another end of the bit, or a different bit may be reinserted in the handle.
