The method is applied to a satellite-borne network device, and comprises: if determining that the service area of an AMF establishing an NG interface connection is not served any more, transmitting a first request to the AMF, and saving the context of the NG interface connection established between the satellite-borne network device and the AMF, and the first request is configured for instructing to suspend using all or some of the TNLAs of the NG interface. According to the method and apparatus for managing the NG interface connection provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure, under the condition that a data plane and a user plane of the satellite-borne network device are simultaneously located on a satellite, when it is determined, according to the position of the service area of the satellite-borne network device.
