  • Patent number: 9353547
Abstract: An outer operating device for a door lock includes a mounting plate mounted to an outer side of a door. A driving wheel is pivotably mounted in a mounting seat fixed to the mounting plate. A driving member is pivotably mounted in the mounting seat and meshes with the driving wheel. A distal end of the driving member is operably connected to a latch of a latch device. A handle is pivotably mounted to the mounting seat and includes a lever. A movable block is slideably received in the driving wheel and includes a notch. When a pressing end of the lever is not aligned with the notch of the movable block, the latch can be retracted to an unlatching position by pivoting the handle. When the notch is aligned with the notch of the movable block, the latch cannot be retracted by pivoting the handle.

  • Patent number: 9273495
Abstract: A panic exit door lock includes an outer operational device mounted to an outer side of a door, an inner operational device mounted to an inner door of the door, a lock mounted in the door, and a locking mechanism mounted between the inner and outer operational devices and the lock. The locking mechanism includes an outer cylinder mounted to the outer operational device and an inner cylinder mounted to the inner operational device. An indicator member is operably connected to the inner cylinder and a setting member. The setting member is connected to a transmission block. When a key is used to set a locking function of the inner or outer cylinder, the transmission block and the indicator member pivot jointly. A user can see whether the locking function is set by observing the position of the indicator member via a window of an inner cylinder seat.

  • Patent number: 9145712
Abstract: A lock cylinder is mounted to an outer operating device of a door lock. The lock cylinder includes a lock core and an actuating block fixed to the lock core. The actuating block includes first and second lugs operatively coupled with the outer operating device. A key can be inserted into the lock core to pivot the lock core between an initial position and a non-initial position. When the lock core is in the non-initial position, the first lug permits a latch of the outer operating device to be moved from a latching position to an unlatching position by operating the outer operating device. When the lock core is in the initial position, the second lug prevents the latch from being moved from the latching position to the unlatching position by operating the outer operating device.

  • Publication number: 20150167354
Abstract: A panic exit door lock includes an inner cylinder seat. A shield is formed on the inner cylinder seat and includes a window. A driving block is pivotably connected to an actuating block operably connected to an outer lock core. The driving block includes a sleeve portion mounted around the actuating block. A flange is formed on the sleeve portion and is operably connected to a limiting member. An indicator member is pivotably connected to the inner cylinder seat and includes an indicator having a first portion indicating the limiting member is in a release position in which rotation of a handle retracts a latch and a second portion indicating the limiting member is in a blocking position in which the handle can not be rotated to retract the latch. • Patent number: 8979140
Abstract: A latch assembly includes a latch having a body. A stop having a lower melting point is received in an engagement hole of the body. An ear is pivotable between a storage position in a transverse groove of the body and a blocking position partially extending out of the transverse groove. A pressing pin is slideably received in a longitudinal hole in the body. The ear is located in the storage position when the pressing pin is in a non-pressing position, allowing pivotable movement of the latch between a latching position and an unlatching position. When the latch is in the latching position and the ear is in the storage position, if the stop is melted by heat, the pressing pin is moved from the non-pressing position to the pressing position and pivots the ear to the blocking position, retaining the latch in the latching position.

  • Patent number: 8826705
Abstract: An outer operational device (13) for a door lock includes cover (20) receiving a sliding block (511) and a handle (197) operatively connected to the sliding block (511). The sliding block (511) includes a sliding groove (525) having a horizontal section (528) slideably receiving a locking member (541). A driving member (44) is fixed to a connection member (595) in the cover (20) and is operatively connected to a latch (124). When the locking member (541) is in a first position, pivotal movement of the handle (197) drives the sliding block (511) to actuate the connection member (595) and the driving member (44) to retract the latch (124). When the locking member (541) is in the second position, the sliding block (511) is moved without actuating the connection member (595) when handle (197) is pivoted, and the latch (124) remains in the latching position.

  • Patent number: 8702132
Abstract: A latch assembly includes a base having two sidewalls each having first and second guiding slots. A latch is pivotably connected to the base. A follower plate is movably received in the base and includes two sidewalls each having a restraining slot and an engaging notch. A safety plate is mounted between the sidewalls of the follower plate. A pin extends through the first guiding slots of the base, the restraining slots of the follower plate, and the safety plate. A positioning pin extends through the second guiding slots. A spring is attached between the positioning pin and the pin. When latch moves from a latching position to an unlatching position, the positioning pin moves along the second guiding slots of the base under action of the spring and engages with the engaging notches of the follower plate to retain the latch in the unlatching position.

  • Patent number: 8641104
Abstract: A latch device (14) includes a latch bolt (30) movable between a latching position and an unlatching position. A sleeve (775) is mounted to an outer side (13A) of a door (11) and operatively connected to an outer operational device (12). A clutch (575) is mounted to and jointly movable with the sleeve (775). An unlatching member (711) is operably connected to the latch bolt (30) and releasably engaged with the clutch (575). When the unlatching member (711) engages with the clutch (575), operation of a handle (502) of the outer operational device (12) retracts the latch bolt (30). When the unlatching member (711) disengages from the clutch (575), the latch bolt (30) remains in the latching position if the handle (502) is rotated.

  • Patent number: 8544897
Abstract: A stop device (400) for a door lock includes an anchor (430) pivotable relative to a connecting seat (402). When the anchor (430) is in an alignment position, a through-hole (446) of the anchor (430) is aligned with a positioning groove (420) of the connecting seat (402), and a notch (441) of the anchor (430) is aligned with a slot (414) in the connecting seat (402). When the anchor (430) is in an anchoring position, the through-hole (446) is misaligned from the positioning groove (420), the notch (441) is misaligned from the slot (414), and a stop portion (440) of the anchor (430) is received in and blocks the slot (414). A positioning member (452) is received in the through-hole (446) and the positioning groove (420) to retain the anchor (430) in the alignment position. When the positioning member (452) melts due to heat of a fire, the anchor (430) pivots to the anchoring position under action of gravity, preventing movement of a latch (38) from moving to an unlatching position.

  • Publication number: 20130001960
Abstract: An operative member (688) for a door lock (2) includes a body (690) having two walls (692) and a connecting wall (694) extending between the walls (692). The body (690) defines a space (698) extending from an end face (696) through the other end face (696) of the body (690). The space (698) has an opening (700) spaced from the connecting wall (692). Two end caps (708) are mounted to the end faces (696) of the body (690) and received in the space (698). Each end cap (708) includes a hook (722) having an insertion groove (724). The insertion grooves (724) of the end caps (708) face the same direction. The insertion grooves (724) of the end caps (708) receive two pins (622, 624). When the operative member (688) is operated, the hooks (722) push the pins (622, 624) to retract a latch (38) to a retracted, unlatching position.
