  • Publication number: 20120256428
Abstract: A stop device (400) for a door lock includes an anchor (430) pivotable relative to a connecting seat (402). When the anchor (430) is in an alignment position, a through-hole (446) of the anchor (430) is aligned with a positioning groove (420) of the connecting seat (402), and a notch (441) of the anchor (430) is aligned with a slot (414) in the connecting seat (402). When the anchor (430) is in an anchoring position, the through-hole (446) is misaligned from the positioning groove (420), the notch (441) is misaligned from the slot (414), and a stop portion (440) of the anchor (430) is received in and blocks the slot (414). A positioning member (452) is received in the through-hole (446) and the positioning groove (420) to retain the anchor (430) in the alignment position. When the positioning member (452) melts due to heat of a fire, the anchor (430) pivots to the anchoring position under action of gravity, preventing movement of a latch (38) from moving to an unlatching position.

  • Patent number: 8267442
Abstract: An outer operational device includes a cover mounted to a side of a door. An actuating member is mounted in the cover and includes an end engaged with a handle to rotate therewith. A driving member is pivotably received in the cover and includes a wing. A link includes an upper end pivotably coupled with the wing and a lower end pivotably coupled with an end of the actuating member. A driving rod is coupled with the driving member and operably connected to a latch of a lock mounted in the door, so that rotation of the handle causes retraction of the latch.

  • Patent number: 8201857
Abstract: A door lock includes a bracket fixed to a door. An engaging member is pivotably mounted to the bracket. A draw member includes a first end pivotably connected to the engaging member and a second end operably connected to a retractor. A linking rod is connected between the draw member and an operative member mounted to the door such that operation of the operative member causes movement of the linking rod and pivotal movement of the draw member, which in turn, urges the retractor to move a latch bolt from an extended position to a retracted position. A follower is coupled to the first end of draw member to move therewith. An adjusting member is in threading connection with the follower and rotatable to move the follower relative to the engaging member to adjust a position of the second end of the draw member relative to the retractor.

  • Patent number: 8070192
Abstract: A dogging device includes a base mounted in a housing of a latch assembly. The base includes a hole through which a shaft rotatably extends. A limiting keyway extends from the hole and receives and limits rotation of a shaft key on the shaft. A dogging member includes a through-hole receiving the shaft. A keyway extends from the through-hole and receives the shaft key of the shaft, allowing joint rotation of the shaft and the dogging member. By engaging a tool with a driving groove in an end of the shaft or by utilizing a lock core key to turn a lock core that directly pivots the dogging member, the dogging member is pivotable between a first position engaged with a latching/unlatching control rod of the latch assembly to lock a latch bolt in a retracted state and a second position disengaged from the latching/unlatching control rod.

  • Patent number: 8042843
Abstract: A door lock includes a bracket fixed to a door. A linking rod is slideably mounted to the bracket and includes a slot. A draw member includes a first end pivotably connected to the bracket and a second end operably connected to a retractor. The draw member further includes a guide slot. A pin slideably extends through the slot and the guide slot such that the movement of the linking rod causes pivotal movement of the draw member, which in turn, urges the retractor to move a latch bolt from an extended position to a retracted position. A follower is coupled to the pin to move therewith. An adjusting member is in threading connection with the follower and rotatable to move the follower and the pin relative to the linking rod to adjust a position of the second end of the draw member relative to the retractor.

  • Publication number: 20110248518
Abstract: An outer handle device includes an outer handle having a shank with an end face. A clutch block is slideably received in a chamber formed in the end face along an axis but not rotatable relative to the outer handle about the axis. A spindle is rotatably received in the chamber. A protrusion and an engaging groove are respectively formed in the clutch block and a portion of the spindle. When the spindle is in a locked, not rotatable state, the clutch block rotates jointly with the outer handle while the outer handle is rotated for moving a latch from a latching position to an unlatching position. The clutch block also slides relative to the outer handle along the axis to disengage the protrusion from the engaging groove, disengaging the clutch block from the spindle such that the spindle is not rotated and that the latch remains in the latching position.

  • Patent number: 8029027
Abstract: A latch device (30) for a door lock includes a latch (38) pivotable between an extended, locking position and a retracted, unlocking position upon operation of a linking rod (37). A liming block (36) is coupled with the linking rod (37) and movable between a locking position not allowing direct pivotal movement of the latch (38) from the extended position to the retracted position and an unlocking position allowing pivotal movement of the latch (38) from the extended position to the retracted position. When the door is closed, the locking member (36) is moved by gravitational force to a locking position. Movement of the linking rod (37) in an unlatching position through an idle travel moves the locking member (36) from the locking position to the unlocking position without moving the latch (38). Further movement of the linking rod (37) in the unlatching position causes pivotal movement of the latch (38) from the extended position to the retracted position.

A sliding member is slideably received in the cover and operably connected to the actuating member, so that the sliding member slides when the actuating member rotates. A limiting member is pivotably received in the cover between a blocking position not allowing movement of the sliding member and a release position allowing movement of the sliding member. The handle is rotatable when the limiting member is in the release position. The handle is not rotatable when the limiting member is in the blocking position. A key-operable lock core is operably connected to the actuating member, so that the limiting member can be moved to the blocking position to provide a burglarproof function.

  • Patent number: 7836738
Abstract: A mortise lock includes a case having first and second sidewalls. A follower plate is pivotably mounted in the case and actuatable by a key-operable cylinder to move a latch bolt from an extended position to a retracted position. A locking plate is moveable by the cylinder through transmission by a lever link between an unlocking position allowing movement of the latch bolt and a locking position not allowing movement of the latch bolt. The locking plate is active when a connecting member is slideably extended through a slot in the first sidewall and through an engaging hole of the lever link into another engaging hole in the follower. The locking plat is inactive when the connecting member is slideably extended through another slot in the second sidewall and engaged in the engaging hole of the follower and not engaged in the engaging hole of the lever link.
