  • Publication number: 20090314043
Abstract: A mortise lock includes a case having first and second sidewalls. A follower plate is pivotably mounted in the case and actuatable by a key-operable cylinder to move a latch bolt from an extended position to a retracted position. A locking plate is moveable by the cylinder through transmission by a lever link between an unlocking position allowing movement of the latch bolt and a locking position not allowing movement of the latch bolt. The locking plate is active when a connecting member is slideably extended through a slot in the first sidewall and through an engaging hole of the lever link into another engaging hole in the follower. The locking plat is inactive when the connecting member is slideably extended through another slot in the second sidewall and engaged in the engaging hole of the follower and not engaged in the engaging hole of the lever link.

  • Patent number: 7634927
Abstract: A panic exit door lock includes a cover (20) mounted to an outer side (10b) of a door (10). A sliding member (34) is slideably received in the cover (20) and operably connected to a latch (12). A handle (24) is pivotably mounted to the cover (20) and operably connected to the sliding member (34) such that rotation of the handle (24) causes sliding of the sliding member (34) to move the latch between an extended position and a retracted position. A limiting member (32) is pivotably received in the cover (20) between a blocking position not allowing movement of the sliding member (34) and a release position allowing movement of the sliding member (34). An inner lock core (54) and an outer lock core (270) are respectively mounted to an inner side (10a) and the outer side (10b) of the door (10). Either of the inner and outer lock cores (54, 270) can be rotated by a key to move the limiting member (32) between the blocking position and the release position.

  • Publication number: 20090266120
Abstract: A door lock includes a bracket fixed to a door. A linking rod is slideably mounted to the bracket and includes a slot. A draw member includes a first end pivotably connected to the bracket and a second end operably connected to a retractor. The draw member further includes a guide slot. A pin slideably extends through the slot and the guide slot such that the movement of the linking rod causes pivotal movement of the draw member, which in turn, urges the retractor to move a latch bolt from an extended position to a retracted position. A follower is coupled to the pin to move therewith. An adjusting member is in threading connection with the follower and rotatable to move the follower and the pin relative to the linking rod to adjust a position of the second end of the draw member relative to the retractor.

  • Publication number: 20090174194
Abstract: A dogging device includes a base mounted in a housing of a latch assembly. The base includes a hole through which a shaft rotatably extends. A limiting keyway extends from the hole and receives and limits rotation of a shaft key on the shaft. A dogging member includes a through-hole receiving the shaft. A keyway extends from the through-hole and receives the shaft key of the shaft, allowing joint rotation of the shaft and the dogging member. By engaging a tool with a driving groove in an end of the shaft or by utilizing a lock core key to turn a lock core that directly pivots the dogging member, the dogging member is pivotable between a first position engaged with a latching/unlatching control rod of the latch assembly to lock a latch bolt in a retracted state and a second position disengaged from the latching/unlatching control rod.

  • Patent number: 7281738
Abstract: An interchangeable handle assembly includes a spindle, a coupling member removably coupled to the spindle, and a handle. Two grooves are defined in an outer circumferential face of the spindle. The coupling member includes two arms and an intermediate section between the arms. The arms are engaged in the grooves of the spindle. Each arm includes a coupling section on a distal end thereof. The handle includes a shank having a hole for removably coupling with the spindle. A circumferential wall delimiting the hole of the shank includes two coupling sections for respectively coupling with the coupling sections of the coupling member when the handle is coupled with the coupling member.
