    Abstract: A heart valve prosthesis is provided having a self-expanding multi-level frame that supports a valve body comprising a skirt and plurality of coapting leaflets. The frame transitions between a contracted delivery configuration that enables percutaneous transluminal delivery, and an expanded deployed configuration having an asymmetric hourglass shape. The valve body skirt and leaflets are constructed so that the center of coaptation may be selected to reduce horizontal forces applied to the commissures of the valve, and to efficiently distribute and transmit forces along the leaflets and to the frame. Alternatively, the valve body may be used as a surgically implantable replacement valve prosthesis.

When the dielectric mass has motion relative to the anchor and a voltage is applied between the first and second electrodes, the movement of the dielectric mass generates a current at the first and second electrodes proportional to the motion.

    Abstract: A method for a multi-channel wireless speaker system utilizes a wireless private network to ensure proper synchronization of a plurality of speaker units. The system includes the plurality of speaker units and an audio receiver. Each speaker unit includes a wireless communication device and a digital-to-analog converter module. The audio receiver includes an audio interface and a wireless access point. The method includes probing each speaker units in order to identify the speaker channel and use said information to compile a sound system configuration. The sound system configuration is used to configure a plurality of compatible audio channels from an audio frame, wherein each channel corresponds an audio sample. The audio frame is broadcasted to the plurality of speaker units. Each speaker unit extracts the audio sample corresponding to a specific channel that is in turn associated with the speaker type. The audio sample is sounded by each speaker unit.

    Abstract: A method for performing digital predistortion to a microwave radio transceiver in response to an increase/decrease of transmit power level is disclosed. If the new transmit power level is higher than the current transmit power level, a set of digital predistortion (DPD) coefficients is applied to the transceiver before the issuance of a transmit power level increase command to the transceiver. Otherwise, a transmit power level decrease command is issued to the transceiver before the application of the set of DPD coefficients to the transceiver. Determining the set of DPD coefficients for the transceiver involves two stages: (i) calibrating the transceiver at a room temperature under predefined conditions and generating a DPD lookup table including DPD coefficients at a plurality of predefined temperatures other than the room temperature and (ii) determining the set of DPD coefficients for a given set of operating conditions using entries in the DPD lookup table.
