  • Publication number: 20050258426
Abstract: An organic light emitting display device may be capable of preventing galvanic reaction from occurring between source and drain electrodes and a pixel electrode, and preventing a voltage drop of a metal wiring. The organic light emitting display device can include an active layer formed on a substrate; a gate electrode formed on a gate insulating layer; a metal wiring formed on an interlayer insulating layer, and source and drain electrodes electrically connected to the source and drain regions via contact holes; and a pixel electrode electrically connected to any one of the source and drain electrodes. The source and drain electrodes and the metal wiring are formed of materials having low resistance and an oxidation-reduction potential (Redox potential) difference of about 0.3 or less with respect to the pixel electrode.

  • Publication number: 20050253171
Abstract: An organic light emitting display (OLED) and method of fabricating the same are provided having a reduced number of photolithography and etching steps. The method includes a source electrode and a drain electrode being formed over a substrate, and at least one insulating layer being formed over the source electrode and drain electrode. After the insulation layer is formed, a reflecting layer pattern is formed. A via contact hole is formed through the insulating layer using the reflecting layer pattern as an etching mask. Multiple insulating layers may be formed and have a via contact hole etched therethrough in one etching step using the reflecting layer pattern as a mask. Alternatively, each insulating layer may have a via contact hole separately etched therethrough, with the last layer being etched using the reflective layer pattern as a mask. Consequently, the number of photolithography and etching steps is reduced thereby leading to higher manufacturing yield and lower manufacturing cost.

  • Publication number: 20050247946
Abstract: An organic light emitting device may includes a pixel electrode formed on a substrate and having a reflecting layer and a transparent electrode layer, a pixel defining layer having an opening to expose a portion of the pixel electrode, an organic layer formed on the opening, and an upper electrode formed on an entire surface of the substrate. The reflecting layer may be a material having excellent reflection efficiency and having an oxidation-reduction potential difference of about 0.3 or less with respect to the transparent electrode layer.

  • Publication number: 20050174047
Abstract: An active matrix type organic electroluminescent device includes a plurality of pixels disposed on a substrate. A pixel includes a driving area and a light-emitting area. The light-emitting area comprises a gate insulating layer formed over a substrate, an interlayer insulating layer formed on the gate insulating layer, a first pixel electrode disposed over the interlayer insulating layer and coupled to a driving thin film transistor, a passivation layer interposed between the interlayer insulating layer and the first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode disposed over the first pixel electrode, and a light-emitting layer interposed between the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode. The substrate, the gate insulating layer, the interlayer insulating layer, the first pixel electrode, and the passivation layer each have a refractive index of 1.4 to 1.6.

  • Patent number: 6340998
Abstract: A thin film transistor liquid crystal display according to the present invention provides against cut-off of lines for supplying a predetermined ‘ON’- or ‘OFF’-signal to thin film transistors and improves ‘ON’-current characteristic of the thin film transistors arranged in parallel. The thin film transistor liquid crystal display comprises primary lines and secondary lines to supply scanning signals and data signals respectively wherein each of said primary and secondary lines are branched and a thin film transistor is electrically coupled to each of the branched lines such that at least two transistors are turned on and off simultaneously when one of primary lines and one of secondary lines are applied with scanning signals and data signals respectively. Particularly, the primary and secondary lines are patterned in a trapezoid shape to define a lattice having two vertical sides and two horizontal sides for a unit pixel electrode.
