  • Patent number: 12374734
Abstract: A battery cell including an electrode assembly contained within a housing. The electrode assembly shrinks and/or swells depending on a charge/discharge cycle of the cell. A swelling compensation member configured to shrink upon swelling of the electrode assembly, and expand upon on shrinking of the electrode assembly is in continuous contact with the electrode assembly and an innermost surface of the housing. A first portion of the innermost surface of the housing is in contact with the swelling compensation member, and a second portion is free from contact with the swelling compensation member. The battery cell includes a cooling member in thermal contact with the outermost surface of the housing. Part of the outermost surface of the housing in contact with the cooling member corresponds to a part of the innermost surface of the housing which is free from contact with the swelling compensation member.

  • Publication number: 20250105852
Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure include a digital-to-analog conversion system configured to reduce inter-symbol interference (ISI) in high-speed continuous-time DACs. The system can include a main DAC with multiple sub-DACs, each configured to process a portion of a digital input sequence and generate part of an output waveform. To address ISI errors introduced by the sub-DACs, the system can include an ISI mitigation feedback loop. The ISI mitigation feedback loop can include an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that generates a digital sequence from the output waveform and an analog correction signal generated by a correction DAC. A fractional decimation filter can be used to adjust a sampling rate and attenuate high-frequency components. A digital error estimator can generate an error cancellation sequence by correlating encoder information with the input sequence. The correction DAC can use the error cancellation sequence to generate the analog correction signal.

  • Publication number: 20250035940
Abstract: A WHUD includes an optical scanner having two scan mirrors and a multi-pass optical relay. The first scan mirror receives light emitted from an optical engine representative of one or more images. The first scan mirror oscillates in a first direction such that the received light is scanned in a first direction and provides the light scanned in the first direction to a multi-pass optical relay. The multi-pass optical relay then relays the light to a second scan mirror. The second scan mirror is configured to oscillate in a second direction such that the relayed light is scanned in both the first and second directions. The second scan mirror then provides the light scanned in the first and second directions back to the multi-pass optical relay which relays the light scanned in the first and second directions to an incoupler of a waveguide.

  • Publication number: 20250020932
Abstract: A laser projection system utilizes a waveguide having a narrow incoupler for double-bounce mitigation and form factor reduction. An optical scanner includes an optical relay positioned in between two scan mirrors. The first scan mirror scans laser light into the optical relay in a first dimension, and the optical relay and converges the scanned laser light towards a second scan mirror. The second scan mirror scans laser light along a second dimension substantially perpendicular to a path over which the laser light is scanned across the second scan mirror, and the convergence introduced by the optical relay causes the laser light to be scanned as a line or arc path of an exit pupil plane that is coincident with the incoupler. The optical relay may include one or more lenses or may be a monolithic molded structure, which may be an Offner-style relay or a molded reflective relay.

  • Publication number: 20250004289
Abstract: A display system includes one or more low-power laser diodes, each producing an emission. The emissions are directed to an optical element that affects the direction or divergence of the emissions. The optical element redirects the emissions toward a steering element such as a MEMS-actuated mirror, or a combination of such mirrors. The steering element directs the emissions toward the incoupler of a waveguide acting as an optical combiner. The emissions propagate through the waveguide and are extracted by an outcoupler in the direction of an observer. By scanning the direction of the beam-steering element along one or several directions, an image may be formed.
