  • Patent number: 11509627
Abstract: A system and method for provisionally authenticating a host moving from a source port of a switch device to a destination port of the switch device is disclosed. The host is initially authenticated at the source port and blocked from forwarding network traffic at the destination port. During a provisional authentication session, an authentication agent executing on the switch intercepts one or more authentication packets sourced by the host and headed for the destination port of the switch device and redirects the authentication packets to an authentication server for validating the host at the destination port of the switch device. The switch device removes the block at the destination port in response to receiving an acknowledgment of successful authentication at the destination port from the authentication server.

  • Publication number: 20220327937
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes use of an air corridor model to enable aerial vehicles to travel an air corridor while maintaining safe separation distance from other vehicles. A trained air corridor model associated with an air corridor is received by an aerial vehicle, wherein the trained air corridor model is configured to maintain safe separation distance between vehicles in the air corridor. The current position of the aerial vehicle in the air corridor is identified and positions of other agents in the air corridor are received. A next position of the aerial vehicle is determined based on the trained air corridor model, the current position, and the agent positions. The aerial vehicle is controlled to travel from the current position to the determined next position, whereby the aerial vehicle and other agents are enabled to efficiently use the airspace of the air corridor while maintaining safe distances between each other.

  • Patent number: 11452153
Abstract: A networkable device is coupled to a wireless IP gateway or paired to a personal area network (PAN) via the use of a sonic tone, which may be a human audible tone, which encodes a symbol sequence representing a binary message useful for implementing connection to a wireless IP gateway or pairing with a PAN. In one embodiment the sonic tone conveys a media access controller (MAC) address, to facilitate connection and/or pairing. Alternatively, or in addition, the sonic tone may encode a Service Set Identifier (SSID) and password for connection to a wireless network (Wi-Fi), or a BLUETOOTH (IEEE 802.15.1) identifier and/or PIN for connection to a BLUETOOTH (IEEE 802.15.1) PAN. In particular implementation of this embodiment the tone is produced by the IP gateway and used to initiate Wi-Fi connection, and/or the tone is produced by the master device of a PAN to initiate BLUETOOTH (IEEE 802.15.1) connection.

  • Publication number: 20220269077
Abstract: A laser projection system utilizes a waveguide having a narrow incoupler for double-bounce mitigation and form factor reduction. An optical scanner includes an optical relay positioned in between two scan mirrors. The first scan mirror scans laser light into the optical relay in a first dimension, and the optical relay and converges the scanned laser light towards a second scan mirror. The second scan mirror scans laser light along a second dimension substantially perpendicular to a path over which the laser light is scanned across the second scan mirror, and the convergence introduced by the optical relay causes the laser light to be scanned as a line or arc path of an exit pupil plane that is coincident with the incoupler. The optical relay may include one or more lenses or may be a monolithic molded structure, which may be an Offner-style relay or a molded reflective relay.

  • Publication number: 20220268970
Abstract: Systems, devices, and assemblies for implementing multi-focal lens portions in wearable heads-up displays are described. Multi-focal lens portions may include at least two regions having different optical power, and at least one transition region between regions having different optical power. If display light is directed through a transition region, aberrations or distortion may be visible in the display presented to the user. The present systems, devices, and assemblies address this issue through shaping, positioning, and orienting of regions of a multi-focal lens portion, through positioning, orientation, and aiming of display optics, and/or through arrangements of lens assemblies which prevent display light from travelling through a multi-focal lens portion.

  • Patent number: 11402561
Abstract: An optical element for implementation in a heads-up display or other near-eye display system includes a lightguide and an incoupler optically coupled to the lightguide. The incoupler receives a display beam incident upon the lightguide at a first incidence position. The incoupler directs a first portion of the display beam into the lightguide to form an incoupled beam and causes a second portion to remain non-incoupled relative to the lightguide to form a non-incoupled beam. The optical element further includes a reflector to receive the non-incoupled beam and to reflect the non-incoupled beam towards the incoupler to form a reflected beam incident upon the incoupler at a second incidence position. The incoupler direct a corresponding portion of the reflected beam into the lightguide to form a further incoupled beam.
