  • Publication number: 20230137465
Abstract: A system and method for provisionally authenticating a host moving from a source port of a switch device to a destination port of the switch device is disclosed. The host is initially authenticated at the source port and blocked from forwarding network traffic at the destination port. During a provisional authentication session, an authentication agent executing on the switch intercepts one or more authentication packets sourced by the host and headed for the destination port of the switch device and redirects the authentication packets to an authentication server for validating the host at the destination port of the switch device. The switch device removes the block at the destination port in response to receiving an acknowledgment of successful authentication at the destination port from the authentication server.

  • Patent number: 11602733
Abstract: A catalyst has a modified silica support and comprises a modifier metal, zirconium and/or hafnium, and a catalytic metal on the modified support. The catalyst has at least a proportion, typically, at least 25%, of modifier metal present in moieties having a total of up to 2 modifier metal atoms. The moieties may be derived from a monomeric and/or dimeric cation source. A method of production:— provides a silica support with isolated silanol groups with optional treatment to provide isolated silanol groups (—SiOH) at a level of <2.5 groups per nm2; contacting the optionally treated silica support with a monomeric zirconium or hafnium modifier metal compound to effect adsorption onto the support; optionally calcining the modified support for a time and temperature sufficient to convert the monomeric zirconium or hafnium compound adsorbed on the surface to an oxide or hydroxide of zirconium or hafnium in preparation for catalyst impregnation.

  • Publication number: 20230015702
Abstract: Display systems, such as near eye display systems or wearable heads up displays, may include a laser projection system having an optical engine and an optical scanner. Light output by the optical engine may be directed into the optical scanner as two angularly separated laser light beams. The angularly separated laser light beams typically have different angles of incidence on a second scan mirror of the optical scanner. Respectively different levels of magnification are applied to the beam diameter of each of the angularly separated laser light beams in a first dimension, such that the angularly separated laser light beams have respectively different beam diameters upon incidence at the second scan mirror. In some embodiments, the different beam diameters of the angularly separated laser light beams result in regions of incidence of each of the angularly separated laser light beams on the second scan mirror being equal or substantially similar.

  • Patent number: 11558349
Abstract: A system and method for provisionally authenticating a host moving from one router to another router in a network using border gateway protocol (BGP) is disclosed. A host is initially authenticated at a first BGP router, this discovery is advertised to a second BGP router pursuant to BGP with a new extended community indicating successful authentication (or pre-authentication) of the host at the first BGP router. An indication for re-authentication of the host at the second BGP router is then received, which blocks network traffic from the host to the second BGP router. Due to the notification of a previous authentication of the host, the second BGP router begins a provisional authentication session. In response to a successful completion of the provisional authentication session, the host is authorized to transmit network traffic on the second BGP router and subsequently blocked from doing the same at the first BGP router.

  • Publication number: 20220327937
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes use of an air corridor model to enable aerial vehicles to travel an air corridor while maintaining safe separation distance from other vehicles. A trained air corridor model associated with an air corridor is received by an aerial vehicle, wherein the trained air corridor model is configured to maintain safe separation distance between vehicles in the air corridor. The current position of the aerial vehicle in the air corridor is identified and positions of other agents in the air corridor are received. A next position of the aerial vehicle is determined based on the trained air corridor model, the current position, and the agent positions. The aerial vehicle is controlled to travel from the current position to the determined next position, whereby the aerial vehicle and other agents are enabled to efficiently use the airspace of the air corridor while maintaining safe distances between each other.

  • Patent number: 11452153
Abstract: A networkable device is coupled to a wireless IP gateway or paired to a personal area network (PAN) via the use of a sonic tone, which may be a human audible tone, which encodes a symbol sequence representing a binary message useful for implementing connection to a wireless IP gateway or pairing with a PAN. In one embodiment the sonic tone conveys a media access controller (MAC) address, to facilitate connection and/or pairing. Alternatively, or in addition, the sonic tone may encode a Service Set Identifier (SSID) and password for connection to a wireless network (Wi-Fi), or a BLUETOOTH (IEEE 802.15.1) identifier and/or PIN for connection to a BLUETOOTH (IEEE 802.15.1) PAN. In particular implementation of this embodiment the tone is produced by the IP gateway and used to initiate Wi-Fi connection, and/or the tone is produced by the master device of a PAN to initiate BLUETOOTH (IEEE 802.15.1) connection.
