Abstract: Systems and methods for accessing account information are provided. For example, an indication to launch an application that may provide account information may be received. A determination may be made regarding whether the indication is an initial interaction with the application. If the indication is an initial interaction, one or more credentials may be received via an interface that may be displayed via the application. If the indication is not the initial interaction, a token may be accessed. A request that may include the credentials or token may then be generated and transmitted such that credentials or token may be used to authenticate a device that includes the application and a user thereof, a new token may be generated, and a response with the new token and/or account information may be transmitted. The account information may then be displayed by an interface of the application.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in facilitating fund transfers between source accounts and destination accounts. One exemplary method includes capturing a computer-readable indicia representative of: a destination account identifier specific to a destination account of a first party and a name of the first party associated with the destination account and, in response to the captured indicia, displaying the name of the first party as a confirmation that the first party is associated with the destination account. The method also includes identifying a source account identifier associated with a source account based on a selection of the source account or on the source account being a default account, and compiling and transmitting a transfer request for a fund transfer based on: the destination account identifier, the source account identifier associated with the identified source account, and a payment amount for the fund transfer.

Abstract: Fluid detection systems and methods using the same are disclosed. In embodiments the fluid detection systems include a sensor module and an electronics module. The sensor module includes a sensor housing that includes a liquid flow path and a sensor element disposed around at least part of the liquid flow path. The sensor element can detect a capacitance of the liquid flow path and provide a sensor signal to a controller in the electronics module. The electronics module can determine a detected capacitance in the liquid flow path based at least in part on the sensor signal, and can determine whether a wet event has occurred based on a comparison of the detected capacitance to a threshold capacitance. Methods using the fluid detection systems and fluid supply systems including the fluid detection systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: A vacuum pump, vacuum pump arrangement and method are disclosed. The vacuum pump includes at least one rotor; and a stator, an inlet for receiving gas during operation; and an exhaust for exhausting the gas. The vacuum pump includes a shaft extending through a centre of said pump and comprising a plate mounted on an end of the shaft towards the inlet. The vacuum pump includes control circuitry configured to control an axial position of the plate, a change in axial position of the plate providing a change in inlet conductance of gas to the vacuum pump. The plate is mounted such that it extends beyond the inlet in at least some axial positions of the rotor such that the plate is not on the same side of the inlet as the stator.

Abstract: An inlet assembly for an abatement apparatus includes an inlet nozzle defining a non-circular inlet aperture coupleable with an inlet conduit providing an effluent gas stream for treatment by the abatement apparatus, at least one outlet aperture and a nozzle bore extending along a longitudinal axis between the non-circular inlet aperture and the outlet aperture for conveying the effluent gas stream from the non-circular inlet aperture to the outlet aperture for delivery to a treatment chamber of the abatement apparatus, the nozzle bore defining an inlet portion extending from the non-circular inlet aperture, a flow-dividing structure positioned downstream of the inlet portion and configured to separate the effluent gas stream into at least a pair of effluent gas streams and an outlet portion extending to the outlet aperture and configured to convey the pair of effluent gas streams to the treatment chamber of the abatement apparatus.

Abstract: A fixturing apparatus is described that can be used with metrology apparatus, such as coordinate measuring machines, flexible gauges and the like. The fixturing apparatus has a base and a plurality of supports extending from the base that are configured to retain an object. At least one of the plurality of supports comprises a floating support having a floating support element that is moveable relative to the base upon contact with an object being loaded into the fixture. A locking mechanism, such as a pneumatic locking mechanism, is provided that can be actuated to immobilise each floating support element relative to the base. The object may have a glass sheet. A corresponding method of fixturing an object is also described.

Abstract: A pump includes a pump housing element and a further element; one of the pump housing and the further element comprising a helical protrusion extending towards the other element, the other element comprising at least one liquid opening. The helical protrusion, pump housing and further element form a path from a gas inlet to a gas outlet. The helical protrusion has an axial cross section that is wider at its attached end than it is at its free end. The pump housing and further element are mounted rotatably with respect to each other; and the at least one liquid opening is configured such that liquid output from the at least one liquid opening forms a liquid blade, the liquid blade being operable to drive gas along the path from the gas inlet to the gas outlet on rotation of one of the elements.

A second log structured array in the storage device stores metadata for the data in the first log structured array, wherein the second log structured array storing the metadata for the first log structured data storage system is nested within the first log structured array, and wherein the first and second log structured arrays comprise separate instances of log structured arrays. Address space is allocated in the second log structured array for metadata when the allocation of address space is required for metadata for data stored in the first log structured array.

Moreover, a program generator receives a user input via the user interface that selects one of the predefined macros and applies the corresponding script to a selected scene of the media stream for a media production by applying the at least one media production function to the selected scene based on an identified key-frame thereof. A script profiler identifies metadata related to the selected scene and updates the script database to store a correspondence between the selected scene and the selected predefined macro.

Abstract: A speaking valve for use with a tracheostomy and voice prosthesis having a valve element movable by finger pressure between a first position in which the valve allows air to pass through it and a second position in which the passage of air is substantially resisted or prevented. A biasing element such as foam or a spring is provided to bias the valve element towards the first position when no finger pressure is applied. The valve element is arranged such that expiration through the valve at a rate in excess of predetermined rate causes it to move into a third position in which air resistance through the valve is less than when the valve element is in its first position. This allows for air release if e.g. a user should cough.

Abstract: A speaking valve for use with a tracheostomy and voice prosthesis, that, in a first configuration, allows inspiration and expiration through the valve; and in a second configuration resists expiration. Increasing the pressure difference across the valve by increasing the rate of expiration to a predetermined threshold causes the valve to transition into the second configuration; and the second configuration the valve continues to resist expiration until a predetermined negative pressure difference across the valve causes it to transition back into the first configuration.
