  • Patent number: 10743475
Abstract: An agricultural wagon, for example a grain cart, of the type including an upright unload auger at the front end of the grain receiving bin which can be pivoted between left side and right side discharge positions, further includes a gearbox supported at the bottom end of the unload auger. The gearbox has a main shaft directly coupled to the unload auger. An input shaft of the gearbox, coupled to the main shaft by gear reducing bevel gears, receives an input rotation from a drive source external of the gearbox, for example the PTO of a tractor, for driving the main shaft and the unload auger. A second pair of bevel gears transfer some of the input rotation of the main shaft to an output shaft of the gearbox which is connected to a lower auger along the bottom of the grain receiving bin.

  • Publication number: 20200195528
Abstract: A cloud orchestration platform obtains from a policy controller, application flow requirements for an application to be deployed in a container network that includes a plurality of microservices. The cloud orchestration platform determines a path through at least a subset of the plurality of microservices based on the application flow requirements, and computes information describing compute resources for workloads associated with the path through the plurality of microservices needed to support the application flow requirements. The cloud orchestration platform creates and/or reserves the workloads among the plurality of microservices. The cloud orchestration platform communicates scheduling requirements to a scheduling driver function associated with the plurality of microservices, the scheduling deriver function using the scheduling requirements to coordinate scheduling of workloads based on the path.

  • Publication number: 20200192041
Abstract: An optical cable includes an uncolored, non-opaque outer sheath housing a number n of optical fibers having respective uncolored, non-opaque coatings. At least n-1 optical fibers have uncolored, non-opaque coatings bearing respective ultraviolet identification markings. When the optical cable is normally illuminated by natural light or artificial light, the visual impact of the cable at naked eye is minimum. When, a field operator has to identify the optical fibers within the cable, she/he illuminates the optical fibers of the cable with the UV light of a UV source. This way, the UV identification markings of the optical fibers become visible to the human eye and allow the field operator to identify the optical fiber(s) of interest. Hence, identifiability of each single optical fiber is advantageously achieved without increasing the visual impact of the cable.

  • Patent number: 10671084
Abstract: A system and method is provided for identifying an object along a road, where the object may be represented by a bounding box, and projecting a set of obstacle points within the bounding box corresponding to the identified object. In one aspect, a two-dimensional plane oriented perpendicular to a direction of the movement of the vehicle may be identified. In another aspect, the areas of the plane that may be occupied based on the set of obstacle points may be determined to generate a contour of the identified object. Thereafter, the height profiles of the identified object and the vehicle may be determined and identified, respectively. Based on the height profiles, a minimum clearance may be determined.

  • Patent number: 10657334
Abstract: An RFID tag is provided with an RFID chip and an antenna and interactive switch electrically coupled to the RFID chip. When a user physically interacts with the switch (such as by pressing the switch with a finger), the antenna transmits an input signal to an RFID reader of an RFID-based control system. The RFID reader, in turn, transmits a control signal to an electronic device for controlling the device. The RFID tag may be incorporated into any of a number of devices, such as a keyboard or article of clothing, and can function to operate a variety of electronic devices, including audio-visual devices and gaming systems.

  • Patent number: 10652192
Abstract: In a system, method and computer readable medium for managing message delivery, message delivery jobs are dynamically prioritized into a plurality of priority queues based on a delivery timeframe for each job. A delivery manager controls delivery of the message delivery jobs through a number of delivery channels and ports. A priority manager reviews jobs pending in the queues. If the priority manager determines that a message delivery job will not be completed within its delivery timeframe, the priority manager assigns a higher priority to the message delivery job.

  • Publication number: 20200137957
Abstract: In a grain cart having an auger fold actuator, a gate actuator, and at least one spout actuator, a grain cart control system has an input device received within an operator cab to generate command signals responsive to operator commands, an electronic controller operatively associated with selected actuators of the grain cart, a valve actuator connected to each valve of the selected actuators of the grain cart, and stored programmable criteria to generate activation signals for the valve actuators in response to the command signals. Each mechanical function that is controlled also has a rotary potentiometer for positional feedback. To actuate any sequence, a joystick will send commands to the controller to activate a sequence. Since the controls according to the present invention are driven by a logic-based controller, various functions can be automated.

Abstract: An electromagnetic phased array (100) is disclosed comprising a plurality of antenna elements (102), each antenna element (102) comprising at least three constituent antennae (104). A drive circuit (106) generates about an axis of each element (102) a radiation pattern that has a defined minima at or close to a null in at least one direction. The drive circuit (106) effects electronic steering of this minima through a range of angles around the axis of each antenna element (102) of the array (100) by appropriate setting of the vector currents associated with its constituent antennae (104). The axes of each of the antenna elements (102) are aligned in parallel with a central axis of the array (100) and at least a sub-set of the elements (102) lie substantially on a common helical surface. The elements (102) are spaced on this surface such that the array (100) has a substantially constant aperture.
