Abstract: A data processing system with a dataset multiplexer that enables applications to be written to specify access to datasets as operations on logical datasets. During execution of an application by the data processing system, operations that access a dataset are implemented by accessing an entry in a dataset catalog for the logical dataset. That entry includes information to access the physical data source storing the logical dataset, including conversion of data from the format of the physical data source to the format of the logical dataset. An entry in the catalog may be created based on registration of a data source with the dataset multiplexer and may be updated automatically based on changes in storage of the dataset. This maintenance of the catalog may be partially or totally automated such that the system automatically adjusts to any changes in storage of the dataset without need for modification of any application.

Abstract: A telescope including an optical alignment system. The telescope has a light collecting aperture, an imaging region for an imaging sensor, and comprises a plurality of optical elements between the light collecting aperture and the imaging region. The optical alignment system comprises a diffraction pattern on a surface of one of the optical elements, a light source to illuminate the diffraction pattern, and a metrology system to receive diffracted light from the light source after diffraction by the diffraction pattern. The metrology system is configured to characterize a wavefront of the diffracted light for determining an optical alignment of the telescope.

Abstract: An aircraft landing gear assembly having a reinstating geometry in which a lock link can be moved to assume a first locking condition to inhibit movement of a stay when a main strut is in a deployed condition and a second locking condition to inhibit movement of the main strut when in a stowed condition. An unlock actuator is coupled between a first element of the stay and the lock link such that the actuator can break the lock link from the first locking condition and force it to assume the second locking condition by operational force in a single direction.

The sorting systems and methods may utilize conveyor systems having carrier segments that provide for increased speed, efficiency, accuracy, reliability, durability, and lower maintenance.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a telecommunications jack including a housing having a port for receiving a plug. The jack also includes a plurality of contact springs adapted to make electrical contact with the plug when the plug is inserted into the port of the housing, and a plurality of wire termination contacts for terminating wires to the jack. The jack further includes a circuit board that electrically connects the contact springs to the wire termination contacts. The circuit board includes a multi-zone crosstalk compensation arrangement for reducing crosstalk at the jack.

Abstract: The present disclosure reports on a method to first determine the required electromagnetic stream function, and then iterate on the contouring of the stream function to optimize the force, torque, shielding, and/or mutual inductance of the design after-the-fact without compromising the electromagnetic performance and an electromagnetic coil manufacture according to the method. These parameters are sensitive to the precise positioning of the discrete wires.

Abstract: A lottery ticket bin for use in multi-bin dispenser array includes a housing having an open top and a drawer that slides into and out of the housing, the drawer also having an open top and a ticket compartment for receipt of a supply of interconnected lottery tickets through the open top. A component section adjacent a front of the drawer includes a first cable connection port, and a second cable connection port is fixed to the housing adjacent the component section in a closed position of the drawer, the second cable connection port in communication with a circuit board fixed to an exterior of the housing. A cable is connected between the first and second cable connection ports and a length so as to accommodate a fully open position of the drawer relative to the housing. The cable folds into a cable storage section configured with the drawer.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a system and method which utilizes the benefits of both advertising and bidirectional connections to allow a client/receiving device to receive data, e.g. sensor measurements, from the source/transmitting device during device discovery and connection, thereby minimizing the amount of time during which data, e.g. measurements, are unavailable. The disclosed embodiments may further allow for reduced power consumption by a source device by minimizing data transmission during advertising.

Abstract: A fault detection system for detecting a flow restriction in an air handler is provided. The system includes a coil, air and liquid temperature sensors, a smart valve and a notification device. The coil is located in an air stream of the air handler. The air temperature sensors are located in the air stream, one sensor determining an air temperature of air upstream of the coil and another determines an air temperature downstream of the coil. The liquid temperature sensors determine a liquid temperature entering the coil and exiting the coil. The smart valve includes a controller in communication with the liquid temperature sensors and at least one of the air temperature sensors that uses the measured air temperature downstream of the coil and a valve actuator position to determine whether the coil is operating at a reduced capacity. The notification device communicates with the controller of the smart valve.

An automatic separator device is provided, wherein the drive roller conveys a leading lottery ticket to a separation position such that a line between the leading ticket and an adjacent ticket is presented to the separator device. Abstract: A lottery ticket dispensing system includes a cabinet housing and a lottery ticket array insertable into the cabinet housing. The array includes a plurality of individual bins in a stacked configuration. A dispensing unit is inserted into each of the bins and includes a ticket compartment in which a continuous strip of lottery tickets is contained and an automatic separation module in which a leading ticket of the continuous strip of lottery tickets is automatically separated and dispensed from the bin. The bins are connected together in the stacked configuration such that the lottery ticket array is insertable into and removable from the cabinet housing as a single unit. The stacked configuration has opposite sides defined by the sides of the bins.
