Abstract: A power steering assembly includes a steering unit and a motor. A controller includes a processor and tangible, non-transitory memory on which is recorded instructions for executing a method of self-diagnosis for the assembly. If a plurality of enabling conditions is met, the steering unit is caused to rotate through a plurality of angles from an original position, via a command to the motor. The steering unit is caused to rotate first in a forward direction up to a predefined maximum angle, second in a reverse direction up to a negative of the predefined maximum angle and third in the forward direction back to the original position. Abstract: An integrated hydrotreating and steam pyrolysis system for the direct processing of a crude oil is provided to produce olefinic and aromatic petrochemicals. Crude oil and hydrogen are charged to a hydroprocessing zone operating under conditions effective to produce a hydroprocessed effluent reduced having a reduced content of contaminants, an increased paraffinicity, reduced Bureau of Mines Correlation Index, and an increased American Petroleum Institute gravity. Hydroprocessed effluent is thermally cracked in the presence of steam to produce a mixed product stream, which is separated. • Publication number: 20180100380
Abstract: One example of a wellbore control tool and a method of use is described. A leak is detected in a cased wellbore comprising a multiple telescoping casing sections. A fluid flows in an uphole direction through the cased wellbore. A flow of the fluid in the uphole direction results in a first force in the uphole direction. The leak is in a first telescoping casing section. An open downhole end of a wellbore tool having a weight at least equal to a second force greater than the first force on an uphole end of a second telescoping casing section that is downhole from a location of the leak in the first telescoping casing section is seated. The open downhole end of the wellbore tool provides metal to metal contact against the uphole end of the second telescoping casing section and restricts fluid flow into the leak.

Abstract: Steam pyrolysis and hydroprocessing are integrated including hydrogen redistribution to permit direct processing of crude oil feedstocks to produce petrochemicals including olefins and aromatics. A feed is initially split into a light portion and a heavy portion, and the heavy portion is hydroprocessed. A hydroprocessed effluent is charged, along with steam, to a convection section of a steam pyrolysis zone. The mixture is heated and passed to a vapor-liquid separation section. A residual portion is removed and light components are charged to a pyrolysis section of the steam pyrolysis zone.
