  • Publication number: 20170235721
Abstract: The invention provides a method and system for automatically detecting semantic errors in a text. In order to detect the semantic errors in the text, the method generates a first set of features and a second set of features corresponding to each word in the text. A first set of features corresponds to statistical features of a word and a second set of features for a word corresponds to the features generated for a plurality of words surrounding the word in the text using matrix factorization techniques. The method, then, combines a first set of features and a second set of features to generate a third set of features corresponding to each word in the text. Thereafter, the method utilizes an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model to detect semantic validity of each word based on a corresponding third set of features.

  • Publication number: 20170160128
Abstract: The invention provides an illumination measuring module which includes a housing and a photo detector. The housing is molded with a plurality of surfaces. Each surface of the housing is affixed with respective side edges of the plurality of the surfaces to form a predetermined shape. Each surface includes an external surface and an inner surface. One surface of the plurality of surfaces is a glass surface. The glass surface transmits illumination collected from an external ambience of the housing to one or more inner surfaces corresponding to the plurality of surfaces. On an inner surface of the glass surface, a plane white sheet is positioned which homogenously scatters illumination collected from the external ambience into the one or more inner surfaces in the housing. The photo detector measures scattered illumination diffused from the one or more inner surfaces corresponding to the plurality of surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20160363518
Abstract: A method to determine a fatigue limit for a material. Form a test component including the material. Identify a resonant frequency of the component and an excitation frequency which causes the component to vibrate. Measure a response parameter of the component when excited at the excitation frequency. Test the component to determine its fatigue limit by sub-steps to: apply an excitation force to the component at the excitation frequency to cause vibration of the component; alter the applied excitation force at constant excitation frequency to maintain the response parameter constant; measure at least one of an input parameter and an output parameter; iterate the sub-steps to alter and measure until the first order, second order, or first and second order derivatives of the input parameter and/or output parameter exhibit a discontinuity. Repeat the steps for a different excitation frequency. The fatigue limit for the material includes all the identified discontinuities.

Abstract: Steam pyrolysis and hydroprocessing are integrated including hydrogen redistribution to permit direct processing of crude oil feedstocks to produce petrochemicals including olefins and aromatics. A feed is initially split into a light portion and a heavy portion, and the heavy portion is hydroprocessed. A hydroprocessed effluent is charged, along with steam, to a convection section of a steam pyrolysis zone. The mixture is heated and passed to a vapor-liquid separation section. A residual portion is removed and light components are charged to a pyrolysis section of the steam pyrolysis zone. A mixed product stream is recovered from the steam pyrolysis zone and it is separated into product including olefins and aromatics.
