  • Patent number: 10499633
Abstract: A remote notification electronic rodent trapping system and method is provided having a plurality of rearming electronic rodent trapping devices configured to wirelessly communicate trap information to a base station that is in communication with a cloud server. When a trap is activated by a rodent trigger it changes from a set state to a kill alert state and initiates a killing cycle. The trap waits a first time period and then sends a notification signal to the base station of trap activation which the base station forwards to the cloud server. The cloud server waits a second predetermined time period before sending a pushed notification to a remote user of the trap's kill alert state. If the trap rearms prior to expiration of the second time period, it alerts the base station which notifies the cloud server. The cloud server updates trap status to the set state and does not send a notification to the user.

  • Publication number: 20190364876
Abstract: An electronic rodent trap and monitoring method is provided. Each trap has at least one entrance, and preferably two entrances in opposed relation hip to create a longitudinal tunnel, with a pair of lower plates extending longitudinally and oriented in spaced substantially parallel relationship, and a triggering element, such as a third plate, positioned above the lower plates, and preferably adjacent the ceiling of the trap on a center baffle that also shields a bait cup. The trap is activated when the rodent, with its left and right feet on the parallel lower plates, which are preferably raised above the floor, contacts the triggering element on the center baffle. The trap is preferably modular in design with an electronics module and a tunnel module removably secured within and protected by an outer housing. The trap also has improved features for more accurate remote monitoring of rodent dispatch and kill verification including long range monitoring capability.

  • Publication number: 20190266865
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relates to a track and trace (TT) device. The TT device includes a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag, a near field communication (NFC) tag coupled with the RFID tag, and protective materials to cover the TT device. The RFID tag includes an identifier that is unique among all RFID tags and is, therefore, only associated with a product in which the TT device is embedded in. The NFC tag is pre-encoded with location information of a registration server. To register the product, the registrant uses an NFC-enabled device to access the location information of the registration server and to display thereon a registration page generated by the registration server. The registration page is automatically populated with the unique identifier of the RFID tag. Once registration is completed, an account corresponding to the association of the registrant with the product is created and stored.

  • Publication number: 20190014080
Abstract: A privatized link between an origin server and a content delivery network is provided. A privatized link can be direct connection that does not route over the internet. Another privatized link is one that rotates IP addresses. An origin server may be assigned to use a set of multiple IP addresses for communication with the content delivery network. However, at any given time, the origin server is only using a small number of IP addresses. When one of the IP addresses being used to communicate with the content delivery network comes under attack, the origin server switches to another IP address in the set in order to continue serving content to the content delivery network via an IP address that is not under attack.

  • Publication number: 20180249699
Abstract: A rodent trap having a remote arming capability and a method of deploying a rodent trap in an unarmed state and then arming the trap after a wait period without the user having to again physically access the trap is provided. The trap, preferably embodied as an electronic rodent trap, may be configured with wireless remote arming capability, timed arming functionality, activity based arming and the like. When in the unarmed state, the trap operates in a monitoring mode in which the trap can monitor and evaluate activity and/or interactions with the trap and can send and receive wireless communication signals.

  • Publication number: 20180249696
Abstract: A live catch trap having a light-based sensor mounted therein and remote communication capability is provided. The light-based sensor may be a visual image device such as a CMOS or CCD camera that evaluates the status of the trap interior for the presence of insects and/or rodents. The camera may be activated to check the trap interior either periodically or in response to an event as detected by one or more sensors such as a motion detector, accelerometer, pressure sensor and/or temperature sensor. Alternatively, the trap may include a reflectivity sensor or a photo sensor including arrays of LEDs and photodiodes. The trap includes a microprocessor that evaluates the data collected by the light-based sensor to determine what type of activity has been sensed and then reports this information wirelessly to a remote user.

  • Patent number: 9978253
Abstract: An electric fence monitoring unit and an integrated energizer/monitoring unit with remote control and communication capability using GSM based cellular technology, and a method for the use thereof, is provided. A simple set of commands can be used and sent, such as through text messaging (SMS) or a smartphone application, to control and/or receive information from the monitoring unit including alerts sent to the user in the case of faults or changes in fence loading. The monitoring unit includes a safety mode that uses time dependent voltage detection to detect when a sudden and significant drop in fence voltage has occurred, as may result when an animal becomes trapped or entangled in the fence. When such a large and rapid voltage drop is detected and the safety mode is enabled, the unit automatically de-energizes the electric fence and an alert is sent to the user advising that the fence should be looked at without delay.
