  • Publication number: 20200162380
Abstract: In a cluster of microservice nodes, each microservice node comprises a microservice and microservices form a service mesh. Data communications across the service mesh are controlled to prioritize sequence in which various data parameters are sent to destination nodes, so that data needs of a destination microservice are met as quickly as possible. An originator program receives, from a destination, data usage information relating to access of the data parameters received by a destination program from the originator program. The originator program determines, for the destination microservice, a priority order of the data parameters based on the historic data usage information, and transmits input data in the priority order to the destination program.

  • Patent number: 10636201
Abstract: Systems, methods, and articles of manufacture for real-time rendering using compressed animated light fields are disclosed. One embodiment provides a pipeline, from offline rendering of an animated scene from sparse optimized viewpoints to real-time rendering of the scene with freedom of movement, that includes three stages: offline preparation and rendering, stream compression, and real-time decompression and reconstruction. During offline rendering, optimal placements for cameras in the scene are determined, and color and depth images are rendered using such cameras. Color and depth data is then compressed using an integrated spatial and temporal scheme permitting high performance on graphics processing units for virtual reality applications.

  • Patent number: 10616781
Abstract: A cellular communications network is supported by an infrastructure that has many different parts. A fault management system can be used to monitor status and faults of the infrastructure. In response to certain types of faults, the fault management system initiates diagnostic testing, which may be performed using one or more communication devices such as those that might commonly be used in conjunction with the cellular communications network. One type of test might consist of installing an application on a communication device and measuring responsiveness of the application. The application is selected as one that relies at least in part on communicating through the cellular communications network. The responsiveness of the application may therefore be relevant to evaluating network performance and infrastructure status.

  • Patent number: 10564653
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for controlling and monitoring an electro-mechanical flushing mechanism in a pressurized water distribution system. A first pressure reading of water in a supply channel is taken, the supply channel being in fluid communication with a distribution line of the water distribution system and terminated by a flushing valve. The flushing valve is then actuated causing the valve to change state. A second pressure reading is taken of the water in the supply channel and a difference between the first and second pressure readings is computed. The computed difference is compared to a minimum pressure differential value, and, upon determining that the difference is not greater than the minimum pressure differential value, a central control system of the water distribution system is alerted that a valve failure has occurred.

  • Publication number: 20200048027
Abstract: A method of reducing entanglement of wires includes receiving from a wire feed system of a wire processing machine a first wire on a tray surface providing a wire-to-surface coefficient of friction between the tray surface and the first wire. In addition, the method includes receiving from the wire feed system a second wire at least partially on top of the first wire, the wire-to-surface coefficient of friction being higher than a wire-to-wire coefficient of friction between the first wire and the second wire. The method also includes moving the second wire relative to the first wire, and reducing movement of at least a portion of the first wire relative to the tray surface during movement of the second wire relative to the first wire due to the wire-to-surface coefficient of friction being higher than the wire-to-wire coefficient of friction.

  • Patent number: 10556060
Abstract: Devices, systems, and techniques for programming drug delivery are described. Such techniques may account for diffusion and mixing of drug within the fluid or allow for more flexible programming options. In one example, a method may include determining one or more fluid delivery parameters (e.g., volume, flow rate, or period of time) for a fluid that is a mixture of two other fluids. The determination may be based on one or more fluid delivery parameters of the two other fluids and/or a concentration profile representing the mixing between the two other fluids. In other examples, drug delivery programming may be facilitated by the selection of various patterns and steps of drug delivery. The system may track volume of delivered fluid to maintain desired dosing of the patient.

  • Patent number: 10521335
Abstract: Software applications are tested in different contexts, such as on different devices and under different conditions. During initial testing of an application, conditions of contexts are selected randomly, and the application is tested in each resulting context. After obtaining results from a sufficient number of contexts, the results are analyzed to create a predictive model indicating, for any postulated context, whether testing of the application is most likely to fail or to otherwise produce negative test results. The model is then analyzed to identify contexts that are most likely to produce negative results or failures, and those contexts are emphasized in subsequent application testing.
