  • Patent number: 11245743
Abstract: In general, this disclosure describes media stream transmission techniques for a computing device. The computing device may capture an image of a local background environment. The computing device may record a first media stream that includes at least a portion of the image of the background environment and at least one movement of at least one object through the background environment. The computing device may remove the image of the background environment from the first media stream to create a second media stream that includes the movement of the object without the image of the background environment. The computing device may determine a bandwidth of a network over which the second media stream will be transmitted and perform further alterations to the second media stream if the current bandwidth is less than a bandwidth threshold level in order to reduce the bandwidth needed to transmit the second media stream.

  • Publication number: 20210383950
Abstract: A method utilizes a funnel system and robotic end effector grippers to feed an unjacketed portion of a shielded cable through a sleeve. The funnel is designed with one or more thin extensions (hereinafter “prongs”) on which a sleeve is placed prior to a cable entering the funnel. Preferably two or more prongs are employed, although a single prong may be used if properly configured to both guide a cable and fit between the sleeve and cable. The prongs close off the uneven surface internal to a sleeve and provide a smooth surface for the cable to slide along and through the sleeve, preventing any damage to the exposed shielding. The sleeve is picked up and held on the prongs using a robotic end effector. If the sleeve is a solder sleeve, the robotic end effector has grippers designed to make contact with the portions of the solder sleeve that are between the insulating rings and the central solder ring.

  • Publication number: 20210375029
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques for rendering augmented reality effects on an image of a user's face in real time. The method generally includes receiving an image of a face of a user. A global facial depth map and a luminance map are generated based on the captured image. The captured image is segmented into a plurality of segments. For each segment in the plurality of segments, a displacement energy of the respective segment is minimized using a least square minimization of a linear system for the respective segment. The displacement energy is generally defined by a relationship between a detailed depth map, the global facial depth map and the luminance map. The detailed depth map is generated based on the minimized displacement energy for each segment in the plurality of segments. One or more visual effects are rendered over the captured image using the generated detailed depth map.

  • Publication number: 20210354831
Abstract: Thermal control system for aircraft main landing gear wheel wells and related methods are disclosed. An example thermal control system includes a conduit defining a fluid passageway between an inlet and an outlet. The inlet of the conduit positioned in fluid communication with a landing gear wheel well and the outlet of the conduit positioned in fluid communication with the atmosphere. • Publication number: 20210350334
Abstract: Techniques for processing calendar availability and consolidating appointments are described herein. In some implementations, the techniques may monitor scheduling interactions of a merchant with a calendar to schedule a merchant as unavailable in the calendar at a particular time and/or to reschedule the merchant as available at a time that is designated as unavailable. Additionally, or alternatively, the techniques may consolidate a merchant's schedule by rescheduling appointments when particular criteria are satisfied. Further, the techniques may include other features to manage a calendar and/or enhance a merchant's experience in scheduling appointments.

  • Patent number: 11153550
Abstract: Systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are disclosed that enable the compression of depth data and real-time reconstruction of high-quality light fields. In one aspect, spatial compression and decompression of depth images is divided into the following stages: generating a quadtree data structure for each depth image captured by a light field probe and difference mask associated with the depth image, with each node of the quadtree approximating a corresponding portion of the depth image data using an approximating function; generating, from the quadtree for each depth image, a runtime packed form that is more lightweight and has a desired maximum error; and assembling multiple such runtime packed forms into per-probe stream(s); and decoding at runtime the assembled per-probe stream(s). Further, a block compression format is disclosed for approximating depth data by augmenting the block compression format 3DC+(BC4) with a line and two pairs of endpoints.

  • Publication number: 20210248144
Abstract: Systems and methods for data quality monitoring are provided. Various embodiments include a data monitoring system that integrates into a data pipeline. The data monitoring system may receive a call from the data pipeline to analyze data inputs entering the data pipeline. The monitoring system can generate metadata describing the data inputs and compare the generated metadata with previously generated metadata to determine if the data inputs are historically consistent. The data monitoring system may return a consistency measure to the data pipeline. In further embodiments, the data monitoring system can generate metadata describing data outputs from the data pipeline and compare the output metadata to previously generated output metadata. In further embodiments, the data monitoring system may operate as a read only entity in a database. The monitoring system may monitor for changes in the database and determine when adverse changes occur in the database.

  • Patent number: 11087529
Abstract: Embodiments provide for the rendering of illumination effects on real-world objects in augmented reality systems. An example method generally includes overlaying a shader on the augmented reality display. The shader generally corresponds to a three-dimensional geometry of an environment in which the augmented reality display is operating, and the shader generally comprises a plurality of vertices forming a plurality of polygons. A computer-generated lighting source is introduced into the augmented reality display. One or more polygons of the shader are illuminated based on the computer-generated lighting source, thereby illuminating one or more real-world objects in the environment with direct lighting from the computer-generated lighting source and reflected and refracted lighting from surfaces in the environment.
