  • Patent number: 10010666
Abstract: Restenosis or neointimal formation may occur following angioplasty or other trauma to an artery such as by-pass surgery. This presents a major clinical problem which narrows the artery. The invention provides a balloon catheter with a particular electrode configuration. Also provided is a method whereby vascular cells in the area of the artery subjected to the trauma are subjected to irreversible electroporation which is a non-thermal, non-pharmaceutical method of applying electrical pulses to the cells so that substantially all of the cells in the area are ablated while leaving the structure of the vessel in place and substantially unharmed due to the non-thermal nature of the procedure.

  • Publication number: 20180124150
Abstract: A provider of a cellular communication network may maintain a cluster of test devices that are remotely accessible for software testing. Access to a test device may be by way of an Internet server and by way of an interface device that is connected to the test device by USB. The Internet server exposes a TCP port to which a development device may connect. The TCP port is logically connected, through the server computer and the interface device, to a logical control and diagnostic interface of the test device. As an example in the Android environment, the TCP port is logically connected through the server computer and through the interface device to an ADB (Android device bridge) interface of the test device. The server computer may be configured to provide access control and to selectively grant access to the test devices.

  • Patent number: 9959664
Abstract: Embodiments can provide adaptive image filtering. Under this approach, image quality can be enhanced by adjusting an approximation function to better adapt image signals in different parts of an image. Certain parts of the image may be enhanced using a certain approximation function while some other parts of the image may be enhanced using a different approximation function. In certain embodiments, the approximation function selected for a part of the image can be a polynomial function having a specific order. The specific polynomial order can be applied directly to obtain an estimated image value of the part of the image. In certain embodiments, the estimation of the reconstruction error can include iteratively estimating a bias term of the reconstruction error and a variance term of the reconstruction error.

  • Patent number: 9953053
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and system for resolving a potential in-doubt condition of a distributed transaction, is provided. A processor receives a request to commit a transaction for a distributed transaction protocol that includes an applied process, the transaction includes a transfer of a commit decision from a coordinating node to a participating node. The processor checks the service status of the connection to the participating node, and finding the service status of the connection out of service or unavailable, the processor instructs the coordinating node to back-out (rollback) the transaction. Additionally, locality meta-data is used as an indication of reliability of the connection to the participating node, and in response to determining the participating node locality to be a remote network connection, the processor instructs the coordinating node to abort the applied process and send a standard distributed transaction protocol message over unreliable connections.

  • Publication number: 20180096259
Abstract: Training data from multiple types of sensors and captured in previous capture sessions can be fused within a physics-based tracking framework to train motion priors using different deep learning techniques, such as convolutional neural networks (CNN) and Recurrent Temporal Restricted Boltzmann Machines (RTRBMs). In embodiments employing one or more CNNs, two streams of filters can be used. In those embodiments, one stream of the filters can be used to learn the temporal information and the other stream of the filters can be used to learn spatial information. In embodiments employing one or more RTRBMs, all visible nodes of the RTRBMs can be clamped with values obtained from the training data or data synthesized from the training data. In cases where sensor data is unavailable, the input nodes may be unclamped and the one or more RTRBMs can generate the missing sensor data.

  • Publication number: 20180088970
Abstract: A mapping application determines locations of user interfaces (UIs) within content. Upon determining locations of UIs within the content, the mapping application evaluates the UIs to determine where within the content the UI will lead a user when the UI is activated. For example, the mapping application determines a first location where a first UI will take the user within the content when the first UI is activated. At this first location, the mapping application determines a second location where a second UI located at the first location will take the user when the second UI is activated. Based upon determining where the UIs will take a user within the content when the UIs are activated, the mapping application generates a flow diagram of the content that maps one or more UI paths within the content.
