  • Patent number: 11475421
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for allowing completion of cardless ATM transactions at an ATM using a barcode that encodes an identifier for that ATM. A user of a mobile banking app may begin a transaction on their mobile device and, upon reaching a stage of the transaction where ATM access is needed (e.g., to withdraw physical cash), requests that the user visit an ATM to scan the barcode. When the mobile app scans the barcode, the ATM displaying the barcode is associated with the transaction, and completes the transaction (e.g., by dispensing cash). This barcode, while usable to identify the ATM for this purpose, also provides additional information that can be obtained by any barcode reader. This additional information may, for example, be a link to a website that provides an explanation about this service.

  • Patent number: 11476675
Abstract: A power unit including multiple generators supplies power to a load or loads that may be variable. The generators can differ, e.g., in generating capacities, rates at which their outputs can be changed, maintenance requirements, and/or different energy-conversion efficiencies. A control unit throttles the generators independently according to a digitally implemented algorithm that may, but need not, use the difference(s) in supplying power to the load. In some cases, the controller regulates monitored power delivered to the load or loads. A power combiner is connected to the outputs of the generators. If desired, a buffer can be used between the generators and the load or loads to provide energy storage that can allow for the load or loads to change at a faster rate than the generators are throttled and for peak loads that temporarily exceed the capacity of the generators.

  • Publication number: 20220312822
Abstract: A method for forming encapsulated sweetener granules (ESGs) may include heating a first mixture to form a molten mixture, the first mixture includes one or more polyols and one or more hydrocolloids; cooling the molten mixture to a first temperature to form a cooled molten mixture; adding one or more high-intensity sweeteners to the cooled molten mixture to form a second mixture; cooling the second mixture to a second temperature to form one or more sheets, the second temperature being different from the first temperature; and fragmenting the one or more sheets to form a plurality of encapsulated sweetener granules. The first temperature may be between about 120° C. and about 200° C. The second temperature may be below a glass transition temperature (Tg) of the one or more polyols and the one or more hydrocolloids. • Publication number: 20220319170
Abstract: A processor may process a video feed of a monitored area. The processing may include attempting to decrypt the video feed using a temporally-varying digital rights management key in a state corresponding to a time at which the encrypted video feed was received and encountering a decryption error during the attempting. The processing may include comparing the video feed with an output feed from a secondary sensor to determine that at least one object is indicated in the monitored area by the output feed and not visible in the video feed. The processor may indicate a problem with the video feed. For example, the processor may indicate that the encrypted video feed has been altered prior to the receiving of the encrypted video feed due to the decryption error and/or that the video camera is malfunctioning due to the at least one object being not visible in the video feed.

  • Publication number: 20220313678
Abstract: A method for preparing the nicotine-containing powder includes dissolving a carrier in a solvent to form a first solution, where the carrier includes a biopolymer, a natural polymer, a synthetic polymer, a bulk sweetener, or any combination thereof; contacting the first solution with nicotine, a nicotine complex, a nicotine salt, or any combination thereof to form a second mixture; and spray drying the second mixture to form a plurality of particles that define the nicotine-containing powder. The method may further include adding at least one of a pH modifier and an antioxidant to the second mixture. When the solvent includes water, an inlet temperature ranges from 120° C. to 210° C. and an initial product temperature ranges from 25° C. to 100° C. When the solvent includes ethanol, the inlet temperature ranges from 65° C. to 180° C. and an initial product temperature ranges from 25° C. to 79° C.
