  • Patent number: 12244641
Abstract: A firewall uses information about an application that originates a network request to determine whether and how to forward the request over a network. The firewall may more generally rely on the identity of the originating application, the security state of the originating application, the security state of the endpoint, and any other information that might provide an indication of malicious activity, to make routing and forwarding decisions for endpoint-originated network traffic.

  • Patent number: 12241376
Abstract: A turbine assembly includes a turbine case, a turbine shroud assembly including a carrier segment, and a locating plate. The locating plate is coupled with the turbine case axially forward of the carrier segment to block axially forward movement of the carrier segment and prevent separation of the carrier segment from the turbine case. The locating plate includes a main wall, a raised portion extending upwardly a first radial distance, and two circumferentially spaced apart extensions extending upwardly a second radial distance. The second radial distance is greater than the first radial distance such that, in a first arrangement, only the extensions contact the turbine case and such that, in a second arrangement, the raised portion is pulled toward the turbine case via a fastener so as to contact the turbine case in addition to the extensions.

  • Patent number: 12218977
Abstract: A threat management facility detects a device on an enterprise network and determines whether the device is one of a set of managed devices for the enterprise network. When the device is not one of the set of managed devices, the threat management facility may selectively direct the device to a portal that provides support to the user of the device while the device awaits admission to the enterprise network. As the user interacts with the portal, the portal may manage admission of unrecognized devices onto the enterprise network while making efficient use of network administrator resources.

  • Publication number: 20240423464
Abstract: An endoscope cleaning device includes a base, a battery pack, and a pull tab. The base includes a cylindrical body defining a canal. The battery pack includes a battery and a heating mechanism thermally coupled to the cylindrical body. The pull tab includes a body and an annular seal detachably coupled to the body. The annular seal is in registration with the canal of the cylindrical body. The pull tab is partially received within the battery pack to inhibit electrical communication between the battery and the heating mechanism. The body of the pull tab is removably supported with respect to the base and the battery pack such that when the pull tab is pulled by a user, the annular seal detaches from the body of the pull tab and remains with respect to the cylindrical body to form a fluid-tight seal against the endoscope.
