  • Publication number: 20220229843
Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and devices for modeling heterogeneous feature sets for use in personalized search are provided. The method may include generating a similarity factor for each of a plurality of personalization features. For each of the plurality of personalization features, a personalization feature weight is calculated. Each personalization feature weight is converted into a probability distribution and each similarity factor is scaled based on a corresponding probability distribution. Based on each scaled similarity factor, a most recently used affinity value is generated for each corresponding personalization feature. The most recently used affinity values are used to generate a ranking function for use as part of personalized search.

  • Publication number: 20220151426
Abstract: A reservoir of a liquid heating appliance includes a first chamber and a second chamber, separated by a partition. A heating arrangement is arranged to heat liquid in the first chamber. A first valve, a second valve and a float valve are disposed in the partition to selectively allow liquid to flow between the first and second chambers. Respective lines joining the first and second valves to a center of the partition have an obtuse angular separation. The first and second valves are selectively closed by a valve closure member. The float valve includes a floating valve member arranged to float and mate with a valve seat to prevent the flow of liquid. A liquid outlet in the first chamber connects with a dispense outlet on the appliance to allow liquid to be dispensed when the first and second valves are closed.

  • Publication number: 20220101305
Abstract: A mobile device establishes an indirect network connection to a User Interface (UI) agent of a terminal. The indirect connection managed as a mobile navigational control session maintained through a server or through the server and a proxy. A keyboard widget/object and a navigation-selection widget/object are rendered within a mobile screen on a display of the mobile device. During the session, a user interacts with the keyboard and/or navigation-selection widgets and corresponding UI key events are forwarded to the UI agent. The UI agent provides the UI key events as Human Interface Device (HID) key events to the terminal causing a transaction interface to update transaction screens being rendered on a transaction display of the terminal during a transaction. The user conducts the transaction at the terminal without touching the transaction display and controls the transaction screens for the transaction via the keyboard and navigational widgets from the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20210224284
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices supporting determining user and data record relationships based on vector space embeddings are described. Some database systems may receive data record access indications corresponding to data records accessed by users. A database system may generate, based on the data record access indications, user sessions for the users, data record sessions for the data records, or a combination for users and data records. For example, a user session may correspond to a respective user and include a record identifier associated with each data record accessed by the user. The system may generate, in a vector space, vectors from the sessions using an embedding operation, where each vector corresponds to a respective user or data record. The system may determine relationships between the users, data records, or both based on the vectors and may transmit an indication of at least one data record based on the relationships.

  • Patent number: 11055126
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for detecting sub-optimal performance of one or more virtual computing platforms. Usage data representing user activity, and performance data representing computing hardware resource utilization, is collected from a plurality of virtual machines hosted on one or more virtual computing platforms. The usage data and performance data is then analyzed along with configuration data representing the hardware components of the computing devices operating the virtual computing platform.

  • Patent number: 10925655
Abstract: Bone reduction forceps provide both continuous and discrete adjustment of force. A worm gear rotatably attached to one arm of the forceps engages a rack attached to another arm of the forceps to provide both the continuous and discrete force adjustment. Buttress threads on the worm and/or the rack allow for rapid closure by squeezing the handles of the forceps. Rotating the worm gear allows for fine adjustment of closing force. A five-bar linkage provides increased mechanical advantage and an extra degree of freedom, compared to conventional forceps. Interchangeable tips provide flexibility, allowing a user to customize the forceps to a task or the user's preferences.

  • Patent number: 10921150
Abstract: Navigation application programming interfaces that can be used to obtain navigation information in third party software applications are provided. In one example implementation, an application programming interface (API) can include a first set of instructions associated with a navigator class. The navigator class can specify a plurality of functions to control the implementation of a navigation service by the software application. The navigation service can provide navigation information to a user of the software application. The API can include a second set of instructions associated with a navigator delegate protocol. The navigator delegate protocol can be a delegate of the navigator class. The navigator delegate protocol can implement one or more calls to update the navigation information provided as part of the navigation service.

  • Patent number: 10753697
Abstract: A cover for an ammunition magazine is provided. The cover can include a top wall and a plurality of side walls extending downward from the top wall. The side walls can define a lower perimeter edge and an interior cavity configured for receiving an open end of an ammunition magazine for a firearm. The cover can include a bracket mounting wing extending outward from one of the side walls and a bracket connected to the bracket mounting wing. The bracket can include a vertical portion and a horizontal portion. The cover can used with a set of coupled magazines used with a firearm by placing the cover over an open end of a spare magazine when a primary magazine is inserted into the firearm. The cover can be automatically detach from the spare magazine when the primary magazine is removed from the firearm due to the bracket contacting the firearm.
