Abstract: A keyboard switch for a keyboard includes a base secured to a plunger that reciprocates with respect to the base and is biased away from the base. An electrical contact assembly is positioned within a cavity defined by the base and the plunger. The electrical contact assembly remains in an electrically open state when the plunger is furthest from the base, but the electrical contact assembly enters an electrically closed state when the plunger is longitudinally moved downwardly by force towards the base. In this regard, a cam protruding from a side portion of a body of the plunger has a profile surface that contacts the electrical contact assembly as the plunger is longitudinally moved towards the base. A curved profile of the cam that incorporates a concave arc uniquely changes the amount of force experienced by the typist at different points of the downward motion of the plunger.

Abstract: Navigation application programming interfaces that can be used to obtain navigation information in third party software applications are provided. In one example implementation, an application programming interface (API) can include a first set of instructions associated with a navigator class. The navigator class can specify a plurality of functions to control the implementation of a navigation service by the software application. The navigation service can provide navigation information to a user of the software application. The API can include a second set of instructions associated with a navigator delegate protocol. The navigator delegate protocol can be a delegate of the navigator class. The navigator delegate protocol can implement one or more calls to update the navigation information provided as part of the navigation service.

Abstract: A method is provided to fabricate an injection molded piece with a weakened portion in an injection molding system having a cavity defined by a fixed mold part and a moveable mold part. The method comprises injecting raw material in a liquid state into the cavity to form the injection molded piece; moving a weakening insert into the injection molded piece from a first surface of the injection molded piece; injecting a gas to the first surface of the injection molded piece with a controlled pressure, wherein moving the weakening insert into the injection molded piece and injecting the gas are performed while the injection molded piece is in the liquid state.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are devices and methods of use directed to automotive throttle body adapter plates with various bolt patterns. In one embodiment, the throttle body adapter plate is comprised of a main body element configured with a bolt pattern on one end to connect to an automobile's intake manifold and further configured at the opposing end with another bolt pattern to connect to an automobile's throttle body. In another embodiment, the internal airflow shape or profile is configured for optimal flow having an outside inlet diameter and tapering down to the intake manifold outlet diameter.

Abstract: A badge mounting system for a vehicle interior includes a badge plate and an emblem or badge comprised of raised lettering or a design that is formed integrally on the badge plate. A trim panel includes inner and outer surfaces and a badge relief section formed integrally on the trim panel. The badge relief section is defined by letter shaped apertures. The badge plate is coupled to the inner surface of the trim panel and the emblem is received in the badge relief section in assembly. The badge plate is rear loaded to the trim panel and the system may include more than one badge plate. In assembly, a portion of the badge extends outwardly from the outer surface of the trim panel through the badge relief section.

Abstract: A method for transforming a sound signal into a signal capable of compensating for the hearing loss of a hearing impaired person using a hearing instrument with a receiver, a processing unit and a transmitter, includes the following steps: a) receiving an input signal by the receiver, the input signal being representative for a sound signal; b) processing the received signal by the processing unit, the processing including the step of filtering; and c) providing the processed signal by the transmitter; where the processing further includes the step of squaring the received signal, the filtering taking place on the squared signal.
