  • Patent number: 11964312
Abstract: A method and system for removing material build-up in a mixing chamber of a rotary mixer machine. The system includes one or more actuators coupled to the mixing chamber and to a frame of the rotary mixer machine. Further, the system includes a controller configured to receive an input and activate the one or more actuators in response to the input to induce a forward and backward rocking motion in the mixing chamber to cause a dislodgement of the material build-up from the mixing chamber. The mixing chamber executes the forward and backward rocking motion between a first position and a second position about an axis disposed transversally to a length of the rotary mixer machine.

  • Patent number: 11927972
Abstract: A system for determining a travel direction that avoids objects when a vehicle travels from a current location to a target location is provided. The system determines a travel direction based on an attract-repel model. The system accesses external object information provided by an external object system. The external object information may include, for each of a plurality of objects, location, type, and constraint. The system assigns a repel value to the location of each object based on the type of and constraint on the object. The system assigns an attractive value to the target location. The system calculates a cumulative force based on the attractive and repulsive forces and sets the travel direction based on the cumulative force.

  • Patent number: 11928701
Abstract: Technologies for enhancing credit transactions include a point of sale computing system. The point of sale computing system receives payment vehicle data for a credit transaction associated with a purchase event. The point of sale computing system determines whether the credit transaction is an alternate routing candidate. The point of sale computing system routes an authorization request message to an issuer computing system via a payment card network in response to a determination that the credit transaction is not an alternate routing candidate. Alternatively, the point of sale computing system routes the authorization request message directly to the issuer computing system via a PIN debit network in response to a determination that the credit transaction is an alternate routing candidate. A corresponding authorization response message is received by the point of sale computing system via the payment card network or the PIN debit network. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20240075312
Abstract: Illumination devices for impinging light on tissue, for example within a body cavity of a patient, to induce various biological effects are disclosed. Biological effects may include at least one of inactivating and/or inhibiting growth of one or more pathogens, upregulating a local immune response, increasing endogenous stores of nitric oxide, releasing nitric oxide from endogenous stores, and inducing an anti-inflammatory effect. Biological effects may include upregulating and downregulating inflammatory immune response molecules within a target tissue. Wavelengths of light are selected based on intended biological effects for one or more of targeted tissue types and targeted pathogens. Light treatments may provide multiple pathogenic biological effects, either with light of a single wavelength or with light having multiple wavelengths.

  • Publication number: 20230412480
Abstract: A sideband communication system has been developed for a conveyor system. A controller card controls the operation of a conveyor zone and communicates information about each conveyor in the conveyor zone. The controller card is assigned to control and monitor the operation of one or more of these zones of conveyors. The cards of adjacent zones are daisy-chained together to facilitate communication with one another and with other systems like a programmable logic controller (PLC). In addition to the standard controller area network (CAN) communication protocol, the controller cards further communicate amongst themselves using a sideband communication protocol that is outside the realm of the standard CAN communication protocol. The sideband communication protocol allows the cards to communicate with each other without interfering with normal network communications which provides additional capabilities such as automatic card self-identification.

  • Patent number: 11705251
Abstract: Provided is a fuel design configured to have a thickness that is equal to or less than a mean-free path of electrons emitted by a radioactive energy source to prevent electrons produced thereby from being stopped within the fuel design and thus decreasing the intensity of bremsstrahlung radiation generated within the fuel design. Additionally provided is a two-phase shielding system including a first shield formed of a first material having a thickness exceeding a mean-free path of an electron emitted from a radioactive source material so as to prevent the electron from passing through the first shield, and a second shield formed of a second material configured to prevent bremsstrahlung radiation generated by the electron from passing through the second shield.
